Hawk HP+ don't fit Brembo front calipers?
Anyone else having this problem in the fronts? Back is OK. Seems like the backing plate long dimension is too big. I can get them in a little bit, but then they bind. And yes, the pistons are far enough into the caliper to accomodate the thickness of the new pad. The backing plate is definitely binding, even with some grease applied. Probably going to grind the backing plate down a bit, wondering if anyone else has had to.

you sir, are correct. When I had my Z, I had 2 sets of hps and one of hp+ and 22 of the 24 pads needed grinding down to fit.

some of the HPS pads even have this problem...
Usually the earilier produced pads... |
I have used both HPS and the HP Plus with my brembos. Never had a problem.

Since we're on the subject, does anyone have any recommendations? My brembos squeaked the other day - could be dirt, could be time to replace the pads. I've heard the Hawk HPS are better than stock for reducing brake dust. TireRack.com has the HPS for about $173 all the way around. Are they worth the price?

yeah with HPS's, way less dust. It's a little cheaper here.
