dunno, my car is the 03 model. maybe it's different for different year model?

My '05 is the high-beam at a lower power setting. This was also true on my old BMW E36 and Acura Integra.

So your low beams (HIDs) are on all the time?

thats the thing, I have an American base model (doesnt have HID). However, Im thinking of purchasing an HID kit and am trying to think how I can go around this problem.

I already told you in that thread. It's the high beam H1 bulb at low power which produces the daytime running lights.

No matter how many times you post or ask, the answer will remain the same.

Oh but I'm sorry I don't know why your low beam is always on.

Relax. I appreciate you adding your input into this, but there was more to the question. I didnt ask more than once, Im trying to bring up a point and trying to get to the bottom of why mine would be different.

nah not on 06... my car was imported from the states and had to have DRL installed by the dealer to make the car legal in Canada. When they installed it, for whatever reason, its set on the lowbeam rather than the high.

for the 06 model, the high and low are one HID unit (Bi-Xenon)

With the car 'on' and with your headlight switch turned off, the only light should be coming from the 'high-beam' bulb (it is lit with reduced power).

There should be no light coming from behind your projector lens.

They definitely wired your DRL incorrectly.
