I promised myself I wouldn't....(mod bug)

I promised myself that I wouldn't mod the Z. But I can't help it for some reason. I am getting new tires for it (Falken 912s), but that doesn't really count. Ugh, now I have this sudden urge for a simple little mod - probably an intake or something. I just hope it doesn't lead to more mods purchased.

Anybody still stockin' it like I am?

hsl350z Jul 25, 2007 06:27 PM

get a cold air intake with true dual exhaust and some res. pipes or hfc's...you wont regret it!

chriskabobbers Jul 25, 2007 06:32 PM

little mods here and there don't hurt ...

xlucidx Jul 25, 2007 07:19 PM

yea just peice it a long
nobody says you gotta drop a bunch at one time
hell, i throw my spare change in a mug then i buy clear corners or an intake or whatever

Chad68 Jul 25, 2007 07:21 PM

Dude you're screwed. For the first 2 years I was only allowing myself to spend $2,000 on a few minor things. In just 12 months I spent almost $8,000. I killed my mod bug, too bad I didn't squash it sooner:)

:icon18: til it turns into an obsession.

SirSpeedyZ Jul 25, 2007 07:38 PM

be careful, set a budget for modding and stick to it

SniperHunter Jul 25, 2007 08:43 PM

Yeah, I thought after I had fun with my 5th gen Maxima that I'd be done with modding.

*adds clear corners, rear-deck lip, and intake to list*

sigh

I just try and pick up small stuff when the budget allows . Drop in filter here plenum there that kinda stuff . But it kills me not trying to use good ol visa card to quench the mod bug .

Promises, promises. ;) :icon39: :) You know we're all a bad influence. :D

black06z Jul 26, 2007 01:08 AM

yeah, a few mods here and there won't hurt. Maybe one or 2 a month will suffice.

350Z_GTS Jul 26, 2007 01:12 AM

who cares. you only live once. make it count. If i could i would so drop a twin turbo like so many of you guys here. i just gona buy the kit and go from there.

You'll have new wheels on it by the end of the year...

AcidJake75 Jul 26, 2007 05:31 AM

hope you are ready

cause once you start......you CANT STOP...hehe

I'm trying to keep my Z in a modest mod track. Trying to not build the car without any shortcuts. If I don't have enough $ I won't go a cheaper route. Being on this forum doesn't help too =] A grip of you guys have some dope cars that some of us stock owners envy. That's cool, it's always exciting to see what others are doing to their Z's.

HondaKiller Jul 26, 2007 11:00 AM

3 months without one single mod...... fighting the addiction everyday. keep it stock, dont make the same mistake most of us do  :icon17:

RedVisineX Jul 26, 2007 11:04 AM

Still stock...but I am really fighting the urge....

**it does help if you don't have any money....like I do. Ha!

That's one thing I'd never get rid of, my polished OEM 5-spokes. Sooo sexy. If I get new rims, I'd stick with lightweight 18s, and still keep the 5-spokes.

HighwaySpeed Jul 26, 2007 11:43 AM

I guess that you missed the thread on the blown out Falken tire and all the negative posts about that brand. :(
