What's your Miles/Day ratio ???

Take your odometer reading and divide it by the number of DAYS that you have owned your car.

Mine is 36050 miles / 1256 days = 28.7 miles per day

KManZ Aug 29, 2007 08:42 AM

260 / 6 = 43 miles per day :) A few joy rides thrown in there.

jtabraham Aug 29, 2007 08:51 AM

36000 Miles / 440 Days =

81.8 miles /day

I was doing a 110 miles daily commute for a year. Not doing as much anymore though.

Yellow350Z Aug 29, 2007 08:58 AM

Haha, cool idea for a thread.

18500 miles / 910 days = 20.3 miles/day

mcurry5 Aug 29, 2007 09:11 AM

5100 / 96 days = 53 miles a day

TARGET350Z Aug 29, 2007 09:24 AM

20800/284 73.2 miles per day

mcurry5 Aug 29, 2007 09:27 AM

Going by the typical 3000 or 3 month oil change rule of thumb that the oil change companies want you to abide(so they make more money) you would only be able to drive 33 miles per day.

I dont know about you but if its your daily driver either you would have to have a job or school within 15 miles and you could never drive your car any other time or those figures of 3000 or 3 months are unrealistic for most people.

SolarOrangeZ Aug 29, 2007 09:27 AM

1200miles/48 days = 25 miles per day

kppc300 Aug 29, 2007 09:33 AM

20100/420 = 48 miles per day

davidv Aug 29, 2007 09:39 AM

I am not very good at division.

mcurry5 Aug 29, 2007 09:44 AM

Thats why you click on the word calculator in accessories. You do know how to read, right ?

06PPW350 Aug 29, 2007 09:46 AM

450miles/8days = 56.25 mi/day

DD!

You realize that they mean change your oil at 3000 miles or 3 months; which ever comes first right...not that you can't drive over 3000 miles within 3 months :icon8:

Brrcats Aug 29, 2007 09:50 AM

4000/121= 33.05

shinkuu Aug 29, 2007 10:07 AM

25000/515 = 48.54

the part that sucks is i got a beater last october to keep the miles down. i rarely drive the car but when i do, i put close to 1000 miles on it each track weekend.

Yes I do realize that. But they are infering that for a typical driver it should take approximately 3months to go 3000 miles. Same with the rediculous lease plans of 12000 miles per year.

dutchboy350Z Aug 29, 2007 10:20 AM

15,900 miles/515 days = 30.87

It would be lower but about 3000 of those miles were for long trips.

Bumpinjeep Aug 29, 2007 10:34 AM

123 days 2044 miles = 16.6 miles a day and trust me thats pushing it.

iStan Aug 29, 2007 10:39 AM

80xx/182 = 43.96
I haven't really driven in 6 weeks.. :(

flintgauge Aug 29, 2007 10:42 AM

32 miles a day average but it's dropping and will be even more so with the start of my new job.
