That is not a photo chop. I have gotten in my car here in So Cal. and it's said 111 degrees. AZ is even hotter..

DJ, I actually saw 123 day b4 yesterday for about two miles on Bell rd and 101 but had no camera. Today I had a camera and nearly matched your temps today here in Phoenix.

Regards, Jim

Default Ambient air temp guage

Nope, the readout is right on with the outdoor temp displays on the big signs around town AND the radio wx reports. The thing that amazes me about the guage is that I can (and have) sit idling in a parking lot (or In N Out Burger!) for 10 minutes and the guage will not reflect the increased pavement temp or engine temp and will hold right at the same temp (110 - 120) it registers while driving down the road. Nice! It's just plain hot here in Arizona right now. But, you have to remember, it is a dry heat w/only 8 to 15% humidity. Regards, Jim

I had 116 here in New Mexico. I lived in Phoenix for 19 years and guarantee that not only is that real and not a photochop, but it will eventually exceed 125 in the right parking spot. I once got in my car and reached to get a cassette tape off the dash board except it wouldn't budge. It melted to the dash!

Ive also seen 119 a few times here....isn't the summer great here. I especially like when your arm hits the seat belt buckle and it actually burns you.

My tech told me that sometimes that they do read 3-4 degrees high from the Engine heat and the pavement sometimes, but 9 times out of 10 it is within 2 degrees of the actual temp.
