I'm sorry to hear that bro...all this silly talk about cars seems ridiculous when you hear something like that...it puts things in perspective

Started at 16:

92 Bonneville SE (2 years old, saved me many an injury)
94 Probe GT (never hit a thing)
97 VW GTi VR6 (never hit a thing-still have)
2001 BMW M3 (still have)
2002 VW Jetta 1.8T (wifes)

I was well in the statistics. My first car that was my fathers old one bounced off alot of objects. Was involved in four accidents in first year (one my fault) and the car took every shot and bounced back and not once left me with a single mark.

I was fortunate enough to have a great first car, but I had to maintain it, and insure it... after it was destroyed by thieves, the insurance money went back to my father (the title was technically his), and I bought a Honda Accord since it was practical (the 95 Prelude VTEC wasn't at that point, but I wish I had bought it)...

82 Audi Turbo Quattro Coupe #117 (gray market)
95 Honda Accord EX-R Coupe
03 Nissan 350Z

I sincerely believe you get more out of a car, education, whatever, if you purchase it yourself. You assume more responsibility, and are more accountible for your actions since it's YOUR asset that YOU paid for...

Sorry about your sister, I also lost my sister at a young age (25). There are no words to describe the loss.
