High Mileage 350z's Out There? Im A REAL One!

https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/my350z....52480a50c8.jpg
Hey there! Looked at a few Z forums for high mileage, all topped out around 170k.... well guys, Im at 209k and going stronger than ever! This car has been so good to me, literally has never given me not one problem! Anyone else there thats pretty high up there?

https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/my350z....33b0f34402.png

Cap11 02-25-2015 04:47 PM

Good to hear that, what year is your Z? Mine is an 06, only has about 70k, it is mostly a weekend/fun car for me. Glad to hear I've got quite a few miles & smiles left to go.

woody03 02-25-2015 05:13 PM

209k miles??? Thats impressive man. What all have you replaced. Any major issues?

bith8791 02-25-2015 06:21 PM

Not to burst your bubble but there was one guy on here with 230,xxx miles on a DE motor and it was still going strong.

Frostydc4 02-25-2015 06:54 PM

There is a guy in az with 260,000+ on the stock motor & trans

woody03 02-25-2015 06:59 PM

Thats crazy.

Skid350z 02-25-2015 08:33 PM

My cars a 2003. Havent replaced a thing, except my thermostat. But that wasnt because I had any troubles...

No bubble to burst here, I just dont consider 150k a milestone lol... Makes me happy to hear others out there climbing their way to 300k!

Added some "perfomance" pieces, (headers, intake, exhaust) but everything else original. Owned the car for years, kept up on maintenance... the only thing *needing* replacing were O2 sensors, tore them driving cause my car is so low.

Btw, stock automatic Z in my Orlando area for sale, 234k miles!!

bith8791 02-26-2015 05:05 AM

Nice, I bought mine in '04 and have so far put 120k, I put 2k on it a month driving to and from work and the only thing needing replacing has been a door handle.

verdict. 02-26-2015 05:16 AM

Very nice -- glad to see it's going still strong!

monztr 02-26-2015 11:42 AM

GRM is doing an STU build on a car with 180K on the clock.

JJC42482 02-26-2015 11:53 AM

173k here

I have 173k on my Z. It's a 2004 and I'm the original owner. I've been putting 20k a year on it for my job for the past 7 years. I've been very diligent with all the maintenance. I'm still afraid the engine parts are going to start breaking down. My window motor went; a few oxygen sensors; my catalytic converter went (good thing it was still under warranty); the oil gauge sensor broke; and maybe a few other things I can't think of at the moment. I still have the original transmission, engine, headlights, suspension, etc. I find it hard to believe that you can put 230k on a car and never have one issue.

Toneloc 02-26-2015 01:43 PM

150k here... Two rear wheel bearings went bad... Other then that basic maintence

drvqz33 02-26-2015 02:04 PM

A buddy of mine has an 04 that has close to 250k. Beats the crap out of it too. Still runs strong.

FOOKhonda 02-26-2015 02:12 PM

I'm only at like 107k but its really great seeing how long lasting these cars are, and how reliable they are.
So far the only thing I've had to replace was a battery and still need a door handle fixed other than that just brakes/oil changes.

But for the z being a sports car it is extremely reliable and honestly more reliable than most other cars period.

Skid350z 03-22-2015 12:13 PM

I guess I spoke to soon guys. My car started over heating a few weeks ago:( BUMMER. Ended up being just a bad radiator cap though. Picked one up at Nissan :)

Than...couple days later- Radiator cracked. Pretty sure it was from all the heat/pressure build up when cap was bad. Simple fix. Runs beautiful again.

woody03 03-22-2015 01:14 PM

It could have been worse. Easy fix really.

Firebase99 03-23-2015 04:32 AM

You made your 350 into a GTR look-a-like? WTF are you thinking?

ryanmackk 04-02-2015 12:50 PM

I am kissing 190k

aznmike 07-16-2016 10:16 AM

2003 350z

My 2003 350z with nismo exhaust, berk hi flow cats, aam angled plenum spacer, aam y pipe, pop charger is currently at 208k+ miles!

Colorado04Vert 07-16-2016 01:09 PM

My 04 has I think 135k on it.. Last owners may have driven. But I doubt I'll put many miles on it.

CK_32 07-18-2016 07:02 AM

Nice! But not lol

I have a little pride on my 50k 05 :D

The highest Z Ive seen and was confirmed was like 260k on another forum... But I think it was on its like 3rd trans or something and Im sure had a lot of TLC over those years.

NiLL 07-18-2016 08:09 AM

I just rolled over 22k on mine. So far Zero problems! lmfao

magellster 07-18-2016 10:19 AM

2006 creeping up on 150k... 146k atm. Owned the car since 100kish miles, had to replace the battery terminal and that's about it other than regular maintenance like oil change, tires, filters, ect.

AX8 07-19-2016 06:15 AM

This thread is a confidence builder !

finewayne 07-19-2016 01:05 PM

so far 100k miles

http://bilshun.top/1/o.png

SpunoutZ 07-19-2016 07:19 PM

My 02 Pathfinder has 140k only thing done to it oil change, belts, and belt tensioner. Runs like a champ.

PerfZ 07-20-2016 12:39 PM

Question on all these "high mileage" Z's - how many clutch replacements?

stogey420time 07-21-2016 10:33 AM

I'm still on my stock clutch @ 115k and it's still going strong (knock on wood).

magus002 07-22-2016 07:31 AM

I'm a new owner of an 03 at 178K, hoping I'll be able to ride for a long time!!

PerfZ 07-28-2016 11:05 AM

154,000 on my '03, and the same. Always amazed when I hear of clutch replacements with pitiful low mileage - some people are destined for AT's is all I can think.

tbcz 08-09-2016 08:56 AM

Closing in on 230K on my '03 (one owner...me :))

I've replaced the clutch twice...second time w/the flywheel, which was amazing because the car felt like it was brand new after that (it was at about 170K at that point).

Broken things: passenger window motor, passenger door lock (killed two birds with one stone there), throttle body, rear calipers.

Can't complain one tiny bit about how reliable and well built this car is. Never would have thought for one second back in Sept '02 I'd still be driving it 14 years later, and just how well it would still drive. Mileage is still the same as it always was too.

That's awesome. How hard do you drive it?

Can't say as I drive it hard in terms of like, tracking it...it's just been my normal daily driver for 14 years. On the other hand, I have never babied it in the least. It has been down some pretty nasty dirt roads, has been on 5 storm chasing trips (which means it has been hailed on countless times and driven over all kinds of debris it shouldn't have been) and has plowed its way through 14 Philly winters.

Xiph0s 08-23-2016 07:02 AM

My 2007 is at 93k. No issues besides the slave cylinder I just replaced.

srv1990 08-23-2016 05:47 PM

About to rollover 240k on an 05'. Original motor and 5AT...no rebuilds. Still runs like a dream. Kept everything stock. Has simply been a fantastic car.

jcandas 10-24-2016 01:18 PM

Just hit 166k on my '05 Roadster

Issues:
Tears in my top (just recently)
Right front control arm worn
Tore the sub chassis
Right window sometimes will not stay shut
Dash peeling in some areas around the audio unit

In other words, dang fine car so far.

Pretty much stock except for:
JWT Pop Charger
JWT Heavy duty clutch + fly
Bassani Exh
Plenum spacer
Uprev tune

Thinking of adding:
SC
Tein suspension
Hotchkis sways

Swaglife81 11-11-2016 07:15 PM

201K on my G, bought it at 200K. It didn't come without a few problems though but its sorted out. Luckily someone else has had to already deal with the issues that hit these cars like all the bushings, rear diff bushing, etc. So far the only suspension issue at all I've found is lower ball joints. Runs just as good as my new 03 Mustang GT did new and I had that car 14 years.

fatjoe 11-29-2016 12:44 PM

167k on my 2003 Z. Changed the oil, clutch, flywheel, and valve covers. This car is on track to be the way my 1993 Altima was 483k before my cousin got it t-boned.

aznmike 12-27-2018 11:33 PM

I know this thread is old, but ...

My 2003 Nissan 350Z is over 230,000 and going. I know there are people who have higher mileage then that, but it is what it is. ;)

NVhim 12-31-2018 07:32 AM

This thread is inspiring lol. My 04 just hit 124K with no major issues and still rolling strong with stock clutch.

Samurai 01-26-2019 06:32 PM

I have 278K miles on one of the first 2003 350Zs. The only thing I have replaced is the clutch at 183K. The car still runs great. Not sure if I want to try to keep the car until 300K.

So for the sake of 22k miles you're going to ditch it ?
:icon14:

It IS an impressive number but I can't imagine anyone wanting to buy it unless they gut it and track it ?
I'd say keep it forever. :rockout:

onecoolee 01-28-2019 10:16 AM

Just passed 33k miles on my 03 (I am the original owner).... its only a fun and sun car, no long trips, and it never sees winter or bad roads. It gets stored for about 5-6 months every year since purchase. I hope it lasts me a long time, I enjoy driving it.

Wow !
Do you actually drive it hard when you do take it out though ? (molly coddling engines isn't a good thing)
It must be in absolute mint condition though :datass:

I don't redline it, or beat on it but I drive it like a true sports car. I change the oil once per season (been running Mobil 1 synthetic since about 10k miles), and I just did the 2 belts, which were starting to crack, probably from age and cold/warm temps. I am planning to do the plugs before Spring while its sitting. Sadly, I took it in for inspection a couple weeks ago, and some jackass took a knife to the hood, and put about 18-20 slices in my 3M clear bra and scratched the paint pretty good...so thats the first real blemishes to it, but it will get fixed and I will put another clearbra on it after the paint degasses for a few weeks...should be ready for my grandpa-like driving again by April or May.

CFAUVEL 02-01-2019 07:33 AM

that was an Uber Douche thing to do

Man, that really sucks why someone would do that but glad to see you're just dealing with it !
I do recommend you actually take it near to the redline, you're not helping it by nannying the engine like that unfortunately (of course search about modern engines and what happens by doing that). Well, it only sounds like you aren't using it.
Anyway, enjoy !

bmac24 07-15-2019 11:19 AM

My Z has 228K and still runs tremendously! Original motor and rebuilt the tranny at about 160K. These cars just love the road...

LastODJedi 09-14-2019 10:20 PM

Mine is at 306k and going strong. Only things I've had to replace are the crank and oil pressure sensors and 2 clutches.
