After market clutch

I was wondering if anyone has any expierence with Competition Clutch stage 1 clutch for the Z and if they're a reputable company. My (what I'm guessing is) my throw out bearing makes a noise when I let off the clutch when in gear and not in gear so I think it's time for a new clutch. Pretty crazy being it only has 35k miles. Also any recommendations for the flywheel ?

Every 350Z has a noisy gearbox. Relax, and make sure it has oil at the proper level.

If you do end up changing the clutch (which is probably not necessary at 35K miles unless you're beating the absolute crap out of it), upgrading to a lighter flywheel would not be recommended since you're going to get even more noise and it sounds like that's something you're trying to avoid.

My throw-out bearing has made noise in my Z for 5 years. I've had a handful of vehicles where it has made noise(wranger, sephia) None ever posed a problem.
I wouldn't change it unless it
A) Bothers you that much
B) Your clutch is slipping

C) The throwout bearing sounds like its seized and grinding

OP said the noise is there when his foot is off the pedal. That's gearbox noise and/or flywheel chatter, not TOB noise. Again, it's normal 350Z noise.

I have an ACT "streetlite" flywheel with a SPEC stage 1 clutch. It's a good combo and feels way better than OEM. It grips with a positive engagement with spirited driving. I took a look at the flywheel after about 30-40k miles and it looked nearly brand new.

Stick to the OEM dual-mass flywheel if you want a more refined, "quiet" car.
