Question Will Your 350Z Be A 'Daily Driver'???

This is a very interesting topic, since I get asked this quite a bit:"Marcus which will you drive more, the GS or the Z?"
I will have to say..........................my Lexus! Although I feel the only way to appreciate a 'sports car' is to have a 'manual tranny', I DEFINITELY could not go back to shifting daily! Guess I'm getting old & lazy. But that will make my Z the perfect "Weekend Warrior!"
What about the rest of you..................?

In my work I cover a good chunk of land, here today and somewhere else tomorrow...and rarely get stuck in rush hour traffic...but for those occasions I do get stuck in Charlotte bumper-to-bumper traffic, my SC400 will take me there....

otherwise it's the Z all day every day

depends on the day and what i have to do.

But for the first couple of months, it's going to be the Z. When winter comes around it back to the GS4.

Oh, and i'm taking it autocrossing whenever i can!

We'll have a contest to see who can put more miles! Hhaha

I'll be driving this 24/7/365 until I have to replace my first set of tires. Then I'll buy a daily clunker and save the Z for the weekends and sunny days.

Default Daily Driver, only 4 miles

Got a question for the group. The Z will be my daily driver; I'm giving the commuter to my wife's brother. But, my drive is only about 3-4 miles each way. NICE to get back and forth so fast but I'm sure this is not going to be great for the car.

How often do you think I should take the "back way", which is about 10 miles? I want to keep the miles low, but also want to make sure the car warms up adequately.

BTW, I can't warm it up by racing it on the short road, it's only a 40/30/25 mph drive!

I plan to drive it daily or at least several times a week. But I do want to buy a second car or land-ute with some storage space, maybe 4 doors, slushbox, etc., for stop-and-go commuting, hauling a dog around, etc. Now I have some serious motivation to buy a house -- so I car put the Z in the garage when I get home!

Daily driver/weekend warrior for me. Everywhere I go pretty much will be in the Z. I contemplated the loss of a back seat and it’s impact for me. I decided that’s just wasted space that never gets used now. The only thing I may do is get something for the days when the snow is flying (Z in-between those days) just so someone doesn’t slide into me.

Like rings in a tree, you can determine the age of the cars in my employer's parking lot by counting the door dings. The Frontier will be relegated to the daily commute.

The Z will be in between daily commuter and weekend warrior. I have another vehicle that will be my daily commuter. But, to be quite honest, this will be my first real toy, and like a kid at Christmas you gotta play with that toy 'til the newness wears off. In other words, I don't know if i'll be able walk pass the Z in the garage (on my way to work in the morning) and not drive it. Life shouldn't be so tough!
