Gas gauge says its empty but its really not
 

Hey Guys

im new here just bought my Z but my gas gauge sometimes says its empty when it really not have any of u guys expirienece this issue

Look at the bright side, you'll never run out of gas.

I've been at empty with the Miles Till Empty gauge flashing --- and driven 37 additional miles. When I filled up, it filled with 18.5 gallons. So our fuel gauge probably measures to 17-18 gallons while we have a 20 gallon tank. Same thing with my brother's 3.5 Altima

Perhaps it's a built in safety factor for those who hate to buy gas. Do you know it costs no more to drive with a full tank of gas than it does with an empty tank??:icon14:

it's for the idiots who like to drive when it hits empty and see how far you can go. there are about 2 gallons of gas in the hoses once the "empty" light comes on. it's a safety feature. it's so you don't hit empty and automatically stall and have to walk to the gas station. :D
