No thanks, I'll Keep my 350.

370z AND THE 350z
As I review the refined design compared to my 350Z, Nissan needed to make more of a angular change to get my attention to buy. Currently I have "18" all around with chrome rims and a rear spoiler.
To me, my Z still draws the look and positve conversations from others. I just don't see the urge to upgrade at this time, if this is going to be the model for as long as the 350 has ran.

I'll keep my RX-8. Yeah I know, any Z can blow off my doors, and while I agree the 370Z's interior is improved over prior models, the quality of interior materials are about the same as that of my '09 Rogue. The salesman said he will call when he gets several in stock as no one is being allowed to drive the one they have without a purchase agreement. I own 4 Nissans right now, but I will not likely be trading my RX-8 in for the new Z.

And MAJOR LOL @ 345HP. What a way to pull a number out of your ***.

I really like the 370. The looks are growing on me. But I just don't see it being worth the upgrade for me, at least not now.
Performance is pretty similar, looks are debatable, new amenities good, but not that much different.
Also, my 2003 has 274 lb-ft torque @ 4800rpm vs 270 @ 5200rpm for the new 370z. That along with maybe 200 pounds less weight should make my Enthusiast 350z feel just as fast, around town, as long as you don't rev it up to the redline.
Add in the fact that I'd have to bring $20,000 or more to the table, and that means, no thanks for me.

Go drive when and then tell us if it still feels the same as your old 03. You do realize that the 370z would blow the doors off your 03 right? For the 07-08 owners it's not much of an upgrade but for the DE owners it's pretty decent. I'm pretty sure you'll find that driving one will show you there is a difference driving one around town compared to your 350z

Is .2 - .3 secs faster to 60 that big of deal? If thats the case you should sell your Z, if you have one, and get a vette.

I don't think I'll get rid of my 8 either. Once I get a chance to test drive the 370 I will but if I would like it enough to buy one, I'll wait for a used one. Don't think I want to take a new car depreciation hit ever again - even if I do keep it for a long time.

Everytime one of these threads come up I'm going to say the same thing....until my opinion changes....if it ever does.
Anyway, I thing the 370 is too small since Nissan shrunk it 3 inches. Looks like a Tonka Toy.

Like is it me or am i the only one who is on this forum for a reason, because i have a z. And sometimes check out the g35dr1ver, because i simply love the 2 cars.
Or maybe this is the reason?

If you think that the 1/4 time is the deciding factor then you are well mistaken. Its the overall performance of the new Z is what sets it apart. Nissan wouldn't do that for nothing. Yes, i do own a Z. And i do plan to sell it, but not for a vette........

Uhhh, bullsh*t. The 350Z was the only RWD VQ that Nissan didn't have to change for the SAE ratings. For 2006, when the new standards took in effect, thanks to a revised intake, the 2006 Zs were still rated 287HP and 300HP and didn't suffer downgrades like the Maxima (FWD), G35, M35, and FX35 all did (all deducted 5HP and 10 for Maxima). Without the new airbox, only the HP (not torque) of the 06s would've been brought down t0 280HP. But Nissan rectified the situation, which allowed them to keep using the 287 & 300 figures.

Either way, the HR dynos more power throughout the whole RPM powerband than a DE has.

He is right. The 09 370z will smoke the 03-06 350Z. The 350Z 07+ right now already beats the DE's and is a good difference in power between them. 07 vs 09 will be hardly any difference. Facts are facts man. The 03s could only muster around 13.8-14.5 most of the time stock, the HR for the 07+ 13.1-13.6 most of the time, the 09s same or better.

well, everything is more expensive over there... minimum wage is more over there, so things SHOULD be more expensive. c'mon....

I work at a dealership. We sell Nissan, Infinity, Chev/Pont/GMC/Ford. I've driven all of the "sporty" cars and the 370 tops them all as of today. The corvette is the closest thing to it at this point, but the fit/finish issue kills me. I couldn't drive any version of the vette on a daily basis. It is, without doubt, strong, especially in the Z06/ZR-1 packages. But it just can't measure up in the "live with it everyday" area.
The 370 is my current personal demo. I had an 07 350 previous to this one and the 370 is a little better. They didn't mess with the good things in the 350 and improved power and immenities. The throttle blip option is awesome. It's just easier to drive fast.
