To actually "break in" a motor properly you're supposed to get on it. Other than it not being their cars...I see no problem with it being taken to the track early on.

Funny...heard the owner of my local Nissan dealership takes one of the GTR's home every night. Guess I'll have to go take a peek at that GTR's odo someday before it's bought from his dealership to confirm eh? In the meantime...no appology from here.

Had my G35 coupe joy rided HARD from my dealer while in for service once Dealers that do or allow that SUCK and can kiss my

you may want to also verify that the transmission is not preset for failure thanks to these dealership gentlemen!

Believe it or not they also run the car and bed the breaks in prior to shipping too. FYI

Short...high power loads are whats recommended in modern motors, in progression. IMO some pulls down the drag strip constitutes the short, high load period. The short periods reduce possible "overheating". Low power settings don't expand the piston rings enough which leaves a film of oil on the cylinder walls and could lead to possible oil consumption issues down the road. It's been debated time and time again and I'll stick to whats worked for me and the people who've I've spoken to who have built countless high performance modern engines.

Here's a little material for you to read and research.

This should be treated as "you drag it you bought it" in my opinion.

Wow, wonder if you can ask about the black box and the VDC readings... shady no doubt. Awesome that they had their pics snapped. Seems like the cars transmission is GARBAGE regardless if it can not handle its own stock power. Nissan failed on this vehicle hard core with the engineering it seems... hopefully next years edition will have the bugs worked out and a better trans.

Before you bash the transmissions for the GTR, you all should understand that these GTR's are being BEATEN on...BEATEN ON!! Go launch your Z 20 TIMES in ONE hour and do 0-60 sub 4.0 seconds every time. Crazy you say? Well that is what is happening.

NO ONE is driving to the grocery store when all of a sudden it pukes it's guts everywhere.

For everyone who might go consider a Z06 instead of the GTR because of the trans 'issues', try talking to IPS Motorsports and see how many invincible Z06 trannies are having issues. Talk to ANY real Z06 shop and get the scoop. People who race the Z06 are ****ing up the trans as well!!!!

The car shouldn't break down regardless of being launched many times. Sure, launching is bad for the car if you do it too much, but then again isn't it supposed to be driven like a supercar? That's just how I see things, so don't flame or anything...

Ferraris break when you launch them sometimes, so do Z06's...should those never break too?

All of these people have no idea what they are talking about and think cars should be invincible. Come on....go out and keep launching a Veyron, it will also break
