Snow tires are obviously the best, but I was doin just fine with a good set of all seasons, hell even crawled out of a parking lot with 9 inches. speedo said 80 and I was literally crawling, but it got out, only got stuck once and thats where a plow left a little wake for me.

There was about 3 inches of snow on the ground at the time.

I tried to pull my car out so I could clean the garage some, tho it was still "stored" and not being driven.

I got stuck a foot out of my garage.

Had to rock it and get someone to push it to get it back in.

You can drive a 350Z in snow. Just not in a straight line.

i drove fine in the 5+ inches of snow last year with good set of all season tires. just remember that our cars have power; drive slow and easy on brake and accel. you will be fine!
Anyways years, i bought a snow tires on my 19 inch forged rims muahhahaha

i am about to find out this coming winter... i am not looking forward to it. i am great at managing snow covered roads in fwd cars, though i have never owned a rwd car in a cold environment.

you will probably only want to do this with snow/all season tires, as everyone suggested, and i am sure having vdc will be a very big help. also keep in mind that even if you are amazing at managing snow covered roads in your z, the average person is not... avoid it though, why would you want to put your car in unnecessary risk...

Actually I did drive on an inch or two with All Seasons last year - white knuckles the entire time. Not worth it.

a fellow hoosier....where in IN are you? I'm rockin the Z year round up in Fort Wayne. I run some Michelin all seasons on my stocker rims for the winter...and haven't really had an issue yet....and I'm lowered w/ a body kit. The only thing that'll kill you is real deep snow...but how often does that stick around in indiana? not often.

oh, and just a warning, this was all assuming you can drive. I've had RWD cars in snow my whole driving career...so i'm used to it. If you can't drive...go get a beater for the winter.

havent driven my Z in the winter, but i had a 944 and a BMW 328 that i drove all year round. The BMW was my worst/next to worst and the porsche was the BEST i had driven as far as cars go. Its all in the tires and the foot with a rwd car in the winter.

But my $400 dodge dakota 4x4 BEATER with a heater is by far the best snow machine..... EVER.. on tires. lol

Obviously you didn't read any of those threads - I live in the same city you do and my 350 did very nicely on all-season tires over the last winter.
