Default Another VRT and MR. A thread

This is what is going down-apparently now VRT and Mr. A are dragging people like me into their mess, and I've never even done business with them! I previously sold my whole pumpkin to a member on this board. It only had 20,000 miles and was in perfect working condition. My Z has never been driven hard, as it's only been my weekend car. The member PM'd me saying that Mr. A said that it was sold to him faulty. Member also stated that they'd also switched out the differential cover and that they didn't put fluid in it. Mr. A and his shop are screwing people left and right. Hopefully the member I sold it to chimes in.

Wow... It's like the gift that keeps on giving... Even when you're so full you're about to puke! Given all the recent negative publicity, I'd be a little surprized if VRT manages to stay in business... It's a shame.

Yea, that was a bummer. Got up 6AM early to take a little drive to Soboba casino for breakfast, Then 8 miles from home I take an exit to take a rural road from the 215 to winchester, as soon as I let off the throttle I hear this REALLY loud grinding, I even felt it thru the shifter. The car was drivable but only enough to get it safely off the road. I then checked for any fluid leaks, none. I then checked all the gears, shifted perfectly, by that time I knew what was wrong. I got a tow home thanks to verizon wireless, got it up on jack stands, set the drain pan and pulled the plug, LOTS of gunk on the magnet and ONE drop came out.

Two hours later I had the original back in and was back on the road, whew!!!
I finally figured out how to set up the AEM tru boost controller and got the PLX gages working. I'd been running the car on the waste gate springs since I got it back so I filled up this morning got on the freeway ramp and took off on the green, now let me re-iterate I'd been driving on the waste gate springs for a while and been turning off the traction control, the only other turbo vehicle I'd driven was a Freightliner truck, when I floored the pedal the boost shot up to 11PSI and I almost went sideways. I recovered and at first thought something went wrong took second and did it again, HOLY CARP, Now that's what I was looking for.

MRA is buying the diff that burnt with a personal appology from the employee and accepted full responsibility so I'm cool with that. It took a while to get everything right but the car is done, runs great and back on the road. I have an appointment with GTM as I want an FCON V PRO installed with a new return fuel system.

I am assuming you guys didn't pay with credit cards huh? I pay with cards for any kind of work done to my car so if there is any problem, at the end of the day, I still have the upper hand with a dispute with my card company.

I can picture it: MrA and Navy are in a dimly lit, smoky room surrounded by skeezy lawyers right now, discussing shady legal defense tactics and getting their stories straight.
