Default 2007 HFC Dyno. Sheets & Video Inside.....

Finished the first 2007 350Z metallic HFC dyno today. Took 4 hours due to two bolts that were damned welded to the stock manifold and a very stubborn O2 sensor that did not want to come out.

Will a few more 07's on the dyno to back up these numbers. Very happy with the results.

Car mods:

2007 350Z
Fujita Intake
Nismo Y-pipe
Nismo Exhaust

Only change made was the addition of the Berk Technology Metallic HFC's.

9hp and 10ft lb of torque? Those are test pipe numbers! Nice
How much for the HFCs?? Does it deepen sound? (I'll have stock exhaust for now, but will pair it with turbo xs catback).

by the way, why is the graph so wobbly?

Also wondering why with a Nismo exhaust and intakes the car only put out 267rwhp... those really are more stock numbers.

group buy for 07's

My car was used for test fit and the dyno and the cats are AWSOME. These cats fit the need of people that want sound and people that want performance. The cats definately opened up the sound on my nismo exhaust and for those of you that want performance, the dyno sheet speaks for the cats. There was 4 runs made wtih consistent numbers so you can be assured Bryan didnt do 20 dyno runs until he got a HP gain like some other company's do.

because people who think they are going to get gains off their intakes and cat back exhaust have wishfull thinking.

yeah you are right. there was a post a bit back about a SPECIFIC exhaust(not sure which) that gained like 8 HP? not bad. I would never expect performance from the nismo exhaust though. Just got it because it adds a nice sporty sound

Actually you do gain with intake and exhaust, but you have to tune the ECU for any real gains.

That's primarily cause of the intakes (they fug up the a/f which may affect the timing the ECU wants to put into the engine).

Sorry, yes with an ECU tune you can get reasonable gains. I was just going off the idea of bolt on and go.

Actually in my experience (much data logging using cipher, also lots of dyno time), the biggest reason you want to tune is because in stock form, the ECU is set up to minimize emissions (NOx, unburned hydrocarbons) by running around 14.7 AFR (stoichiometric) in most cases. Except when you are driving under WOT, it gets pretty rich for safety, usually too rich up top.

Tuning will even out any fluctuations in AFR from adding mods, but more importantly it will tune for max torque instead of best emissions.

My mention to 'too lean' was under WOT. Several members with intakes on the dyno are experiencing lean conditions til as far as 5k (14-16 a/f lean).

Yup, I'm well aware of stock ECU tuning and effects of mods having done my own tuning on my turbo ZX2.
