Default 2006 door panels

Guys,

I'm trying to install my xr650-csi's in my doors. I cant get the door panels off. I've seen the page on removing the door panels, but the 06 seems to be a little different. I cant get the armrest to pop off like in the tutorial. This is the tutorial i was trying to follow http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/front_speakers/ I dont know if it even needs to come off. Please help.

Thanks,
Jason

the armrest doesn't need to come off. undo the clips all around, take out the one screw behind the door handle, and lift up carefully on the door. should come off.

The 06' has a screw that holds the armrest on.
You have to remove the door panel then you can access the screw, it's on the back.

Guys,

Really appreciate the help. I finally got both wires ran from my amp to the front door speaker locations. Just waiting on my XR's now. I went ahead and connected the factory door speakers to my e4300. They actually sound half way decent with some power going to them. Still cant wait for my replacements though.

Thanks again for all the help. Without this site i'd be lost...
