replacing hu with screen display
 

so im looking to upgrade my sound system, i was looking at an alpine in dash head unit. the question what is the biggest screen can i put in without cutting trim. the screen im looking at is 7.19 inches long by 4.44 inches tall by 6.31 inches deep.

All double-DIN head units are the same size, and require the same mounting kit. The ones with larger screens usually don't have knobs or switches, which would take up space along the side or bottom, but overall, the outside dimensions of the front of all headunits is the same.

If you have an iPhone I highly recommend the Pioneer AppRadio 4. I love mine. There are some out there with slightly larger screens but as dcains said, they do not have buttons.
