so im looking to upgrade my sound system, i was looking at an alpine in dash head unit. the question what is the biggest screen can i put in without cutting trim. the screen im looking at is 7.19 inches long by 4.44 inches tall by 6.31 inches deep.

 

All double-DIN head units are the same size, and require the same mounting kit. The ones with larger screens usually don't have ***** or switches, which would take up space along the side or bottom, but overall, the outside dimensions of the front of all headunits is the same.

 

If you have an iPhone I highly recommend the Pioneer AppRadio 4. I love mine. There are some out there with slightly larger screens but as dcains said, they do not have buttons.
