This worked perfectly and took less than 10 minutes. Thanks!

Thanks for this it worked great. Can anyone explain why it works? I'm thinking there could be a better long term solution for this.

The problem is the relay located under the gray cover. The contacts on the relay get burned which causes the intermittent operation. It is not something that can not be fixed properly without actually replacing the relay. A replacement relay can be purchased from Newark electronics for a couple of dollars.
I unsoldered the old relay and wired in a regular old Bosch relay. Too impatient to order the correct relay. The Bosch relay is now on the outside zip tied to the harness on mine. I'll post pictures of the burned relay contacts later. I may have the relay part number needed too. |
Double post

Wow, that's a pretty crappy amp for having a bose label on it.

Here is a pic of the relay underneath the gray plastic cover. I had to further take it apart as it is epoxied in its case.

Hello all,
I don't post much, but I've had my car for about two years. I have just recently fixed my stock Bose Amp for about $10 Mouser electronics Inc Part Number: 769-CQ1-12V http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/...vjovEmbw%3d%3d https://my350z.com/forum/members/the...-12v-56732.jpg https://my350z.com/forum/members/the...elay-56733.jpg Old relay in Gray new relay in Black https://my350z.com/forum/members/the...-amp-56734.jpg This information for those who would like to fix the problem instead of the band-aide fix in the Youtube video. Enjoy! |

Lol, No problem man mines is still running strong! I will see what happens after I install a 7" touch screen.
|
I recently ordered a replacement relay and soldered in as per instructions but while pulling it out I accidentally pilled the pins out of the connector.
Can someone with a bose system tell me the wire colour and order they have? Myy sub is not getting power and I already replaced a few fuses that blew when the pins hit eachother out of the connector. |
Sorry for the late reply. If you still need help I can take detailed pictures after lunch, At work now.
