Hey guys,

Putting on the toe bolts as we speak. Could I get an answer on this question:

When elongating both sides of the hole, do you mean put the template over the middle of the original hole evenly, or put it all the way over for each side?

As in, do you just set the template on top of the original hole and color in what needs to be dremmeled, or do you put it all the way to the side (like what was wrongly done in the guide) in either direction. (The latter obviously creating a much bigger opening).

Thanks guys, a quick answer would be greatly appreciated.

I did have to unbolt my rear sway bar to get the bolts for the factory arms out, and my borla TD exhaust kind of got in the way as far as dremmeling out the holes from the backside went. Other than that...it was a snap. Alignment tomorrow, and then I'll give my impressions.

Hey, I also have the Borla TD system and it hangs a bit low. Did you have to ultimately take the rear piece off the exhaust system in order to get enough working room to get the toe bolt out?

I can't remember, that post was 7 years ago. I bet I didn't have to take exhaust off though.

Can you get the toe back into spec with just installing the SPC bolt and not elongating/driling the subframe ??

I did both camber AND toe bolts. Since I'm at stock height I decided to see if I could get my camber set to 98.5 on all four corners to remedy my lousy tire wear, as in inner sides of tires wearing more.

Since I didn't want to have to take it to an alignment shop knowing that I was going to put my rears out of spec I used Scott's DIY: Alignment measuring jig thread and made his super cool jigs. The amazing thing is I was able to measure my before settings and they were all out of spec. My rears actually had positive toe, about 3/16" worth...yikes. Also my rears weren't parallel with the frame.

With minimal work and effort I am now at 98.5 degrees plus or minus a tenth of a degree and my toe front and back are in the nominal range. Steering wheel is now perfectly level when driving straight with no pulls, just dead straight tracking. :thumbup2::
