problem after installing tein s techs
after installing my s techs today...the passenger side sits lower than the driver side:icon14:(1/4-1/8 inch) .......something wrong with this one? did i miss something?:stick2:
thanks fabiene |
hmmm i have s-techs and don't seem to have that problem. Are you sure you don't have a fat g/f sitting in the passenger seat when examining the ride height?
Maybe you should try to re-install them and check again. |
its probably to compensate for when you sit in the drivers seat and lower the car with your weight..........maybe? at that point itd be level
they need some time to settle.
check again after about 500 miles. |

bump!..i went to a local shop....they told me that there is something wrong with the springs itself....either they will cut it or get a new one!....
dont cut the spring....................take it to a different shop.
prolly im gonna take it to another shop...but any of you guys experienced this kind of a prob?...any ideas?thanks
check tire pressure..maybe they didn't seat the springs on the rubber mount with the original groove?
if you just installed the spring, check after 48h, same thing happend to me after spring install!! they need time to be settled!!! after couple days, weeks, ride height will be more lower then it is now!!! GL
thanks guys!......i already drove approx. 200mi and 4th day since install....no changes yet.
did you put the coil end in the same spot on the seat as the old one on both sides ?
hmm miles really don't matter, just time!
Just like JarredZ1 said, i don't think they are sitting at same spot!! that really matters |
Sitting in the same spot, as in the top groove? If so I do not think that really matters, I think they will just re-create a new groove. But I put mines in the same groove or tried to anyways.

I guess this is a lesson not to buy Tein products anymore?
Dont CUT! Its only been a few days, give it time to settle. Or is it too late?

Yeah make sure you did not get the fake Teins. There is a link somewhere on here that shows the difference in the two. |
