Really? Do you even know what shocks do? Please don't try to help!!!!


Gas load, small differences in the spring , weighting of the car(no its not perfect from side to side) all cause this and its normal. Even with coilovers that are set to get rid of you, you will still have it to some extent.

 

why done you break out a ruler and actually find out the difference. The eyes play tricks on you. Who says the ground isnt sloping or the camera isnt angled.

 

i had that problem from a blown front left shock. from hitting a good sized bump. just putting it out there. .5" is a little much to be "normal"

sounds like you have a bad strut happened to me i went to coilovers and it fixed but the strut was bad they are only supposed to last 30k miles at a normal less compressed ride height

 

i agree, despite what a previous quote said, a blown or very worn out shock/strut, will cause sag. although the shock is meant to absorb shock and keep the ride smooth, when compressed it adds a little support. when the shock is worn or blown the support is no longer there and causes that side to sag. it will usually be the driver side first since there is a little added weight on that side.

How does the car feel? Bad strut/shock would likely have to have a bent rod to cause this. If the springs have been swapped out that takes away my first guess. Another thing that comes to mind is installation error. I know this is a touchy point if you did it yourself but I think this maybe the first thing you should check for.

 

This is a common problem. My Z WAS about 2 cm higher on the right compared to the left.

I just purchased and installed Tein Basics (new shocks and springs). They allow you to adjust your ride height at each corner. I had to adjust the left rear upwards quite a bit in order to get my rear level.

 

Are these coilovers? I was under the impression this was merely a spring swap. If these are coilovers, double/triple check the ride height adjustment and preload adjustment.

Lethal, are the differences equal LF to RF and LR to RR. I'm wondering if the two rear springs were put on the RIGHT side and the two front springs were put on the LEFT side.

 

the rear springs are shorter and wider than the front, you cant mix that up

 

I know but I had to ask. Some people make the odd'est mistakes.

 

Sorry man I'm out of ideas. You'll have to lift it up and move things around until you locate a problem. I'd probably suggest removing one of the rear springs first (because its easy) and work your way through the suspension until you find a problem.

 

i am going to test moving the left springs to the right and see if the car still leans the same

 

While your doing that check for things that are hanging up, i.e. sway bars.
