Off with the old, ON with the BLUE...

After getting everything together for the past 2 weeks, making sure everything was in order. I jacked the car up this morning and started the swap.. Have to go to work so this is as far as I got. Gonna left everything sit for a few hours with the PB blaster.
I will update later tonight and tomorrow with the progress..

Very nice.. Just had mine rebuilt and powdered.

Where did you have them done? I still need the high temp decals, rotors, pads and lines...

tally350z 03-17-2011 08:16 AM

There is a guy local here in Tallahassee. ETC powder coating.. Did a really nice job on them and not too expensive..

ImWeeZzel 03-17-2011 09:44 AM

Are you getting new wheels or is this for track purposes?

tally350z 03-17-2011 09:46 AM

I plan on tracking it, so I plan on keeping these wheels for a little longer.. Eventually buy some new wheels+tires..

Got all the fronts off except for the bolt that holds the line onto the strut. Now I have tried to get it off for a few minutes now and the only thing that seems to happen is the flange bends.
Here is the picture of what I am talking about. If anyone has any tips or tricks to remove this without bending that piece.

get someone to hold it for you with a wrench or pliers and you ratchet it off or use a breaker bar to get some tq on it real quick... that should be really easy!

lgear080 03-17-2011 06:46 PM

Whoa ... I'm excited. Great work on these. Enjoy and brakeeeee.

omsin523 03-17-2011 07:31 PM
