looks good!

How easy are these to adjust?
When will they be available for us?
Price range?

that does not look like a 350EVO swaybar in there :)

Cheers!

Peter,

From the old Koni thread the shocks should be out spring '04 and be in the $600 range for a set of 4. BJ will have to answer the adjustment ? Thanks for the pic BJ.

cool... thanks Mark!

Could these be the possible fix for the front suspension bounce and tire feathering? I really don't want to drop cash on my suspension, but if it will fix my problems then I'd pay the $600. Do these shocks work fine with the stock springs?

Audito350Z Dec 19, 2003 08:31 AM

they will probably eliminate the bouncy feeling that cmoes with the very tight OEM shocks/springs

the will do nothing for tire feathering

they will work fine with OEM springs

They will help the bounce and are designed to work with the stock springs. BJ can comment further as he is testing them on his personal car. The feathering is anyones guess right now. I gotta believe the crappy OEM shocks/bounce doesn't help promote even tire wear but it is probably more of an alignment/no camber adjustment issue IMO. BJ how's the bounce vs. where it was when you had the OEM shocks on?

monkey7 Dec 19, 2003 02:28 PM

do they also have the 5 slots on the shock to lower or raise by 5 or 10 mm? Or is the spring perch welded on the shock? How is the highest setting on dampening feel?

thanks

They are a HuGE improvement in handling and the dreaded "bounce". I have played around just a little bit witht he frot rebound adjustment and you can really notice the change. the current weather conditions havent been exactly the ideal test grounds.....but from what I have felt has been nothing but positive. They should be selling for under $600 from what I have been hearing,
350EVO.com has the first 15 sets that are coming in. Eight of the 15 kits have been spoken for. I am trying to put a spring package together with them also. I am hopng to have final pricing 1st week in Jan.

BJ,
Make sure you package the Konis with your 350Evo sways (with the poly bushings) too for those who don't want to lower the car.
Thanks.

Thanks.

Or you could package all 3 (shocks, springs, sways) and offer an even BIGGER discount. I know I'd buy it!

jmark Dec 20, 2003 05:49 AM

BJ,

I suggest both packages. I am sure you are already thinking that way.

Is Koni going to relocated the adjustment screw on the rear shocks? I would be nice if you could have a knob on the side of the shock body so adjustments could be made easier in the rear.

Is Koni making these shocks the same lenght as stock? It would be nice if they were 1" shorter. In the front it looks easy enough to cut out a bit of the tube at the bottom and weld it back together.

jmark Dec 22, 2003 10:28 AM

Steve,

Not sure about the adjustment screw. BJ can answer that one. I believe the shocks are an OEM replacement designed to work with the OEM springs and get rid of the "bounce".

Bump.

jmark Dec 26, 2003 08:42 AM

Dwnshift any updates?

dwnshift Dec 26, 2003 08:46 AM

Too busy with other things............I still love them! Check out the new control arms!!!!!!!!!!

jmark Dec 26, 2003 11:10 AM

Control arms look first class. Will you be taking your street Z to any races? I'd like to try the Konis & sways out.
