....Does anybody know what to use to shine up tires besides Armor All?...Armor All doesn't last for a long time and it also doesn't have that shinny gloss that I've seen on others...I think its that blue liquid stuff that carwashes use? They usually dip thier paintbrush adn use it to shine it up....Any info. would be cool. Thanks...

Silicone spray is the stuff that's in the can, there are multiple brands that sell it. I don't have any idea witch brands you have in the States.

I use stoner's tire shine... works really well and lasts awhile. Water proof and UV protection. the meguiars Hot Shine is good also

The Zaino stuff looks the best to me. Deep black look and not super shiny. Makes tires look fresh and new.

 

i dont like to shine my tires up...no matter what i use it always ends up on the side of my car. even after hours of sitting.

 

I use Black Chrome or Mcguires cloth it on.

For simplicty the Wet N Shine works decent. It's a spray on.

 

I hate spray on's because they go all over the rim and even on the car. I use a mcguires tire shine. Its a purple jelly that you put on a towel and run onto your tires. Works great.

 

I started using Mother's Tire Shine a few months ago, and it does a great job. It looks kinda like suntan lotion...you just pour some on the applicator sponge rub it into the tires. Quick, easy, and no need to wipe it off afterwards. 2 coats per tire gives a great shine.

I was in the same position you are in a couple of weeks ago. After reading thru that site for a couple of days, I decided to go with the Meguires Endurance. It's not bad for the tires, it usually lasts a couple of weeks and it doesn't sling off easily.

There are a number of opinions and reviews on Autopia regarding tire preparations. Many say to stay away for Armor All and other products that contain solvents, they can damage the rubber and make it turn brown. The same for silicone based products. The other complaints about a lot of products were the short lifespan and getting slung-off the tires.

Visit Autopia, I've learned an awful lot there over the last couple of months. I'm not too keen on using my new Z as a guinea pig, I'm happy to learn from somebody elses mistakes.
