Got My Car Finally Dyno'ed!
Got my 05 6 spd enthusiast dyno'ed on saturday at USA Motorsports in Arlington, nice group of guys over there, anyways for the results.
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...no12-02-05.jpg Mods Include: MD 1/2" Spacer JWT Popcharger Fisher Speed Intake Manifold Gasket Set w/TB coolant bypass Xerd Longtube Headers w/Cat Deletes Greddy EVO 2 Exhaust still looking for more mods, and the only basic bolt ons from here are a crank pulley and a possible reflash (if anyone ever comes out with it for the 05's) as usual, comments are welcome! |
lookin' good!! :)

Not to burst your bubble but I got my dyno at 254 bone stock. I thought you would get higher numbers with all those mods....I since then have the Motordyne spacer 1/16, Crawford cats, Invidia G200 exhaust and a Injen Intake. I wonder if I lost any power at all but I have not since then Dyno'd her
Here is a copy of the Dyno http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...o-70kmiles.jpg Now keep in mind I got a wheels dyno pack so that may be diff then what you got |
i THINK, dont quote me on this, that dynopak's generally read higher because they replace the wheels and dont take into the effect how much the wheels way...
what was really stupid on my part, was the fact that i never got a baseline dyno so that i could see the change between the two. these numbers are now my baseline, and all my mods that i do from here on out, im going to have to compare to this, not my non-existant stock numbers... |
I think you may be right. The mass of the wheels would affect the dyno readings or am I wrong. I now need to dyno her and see what if any increase I may have.
|
yep, thats the most important thing anyways. to see if your parts have made any measurable difference. which i have no idea if mine have, but oh well, might as well start now...
|
Did you get A/F? You may benefit greatly from tuning your A/F, your hp #'s are a little low, your TQ is def low especially for having long-tubes. BTW is this SAE/STD or no correction?
|
i forgot to ask for the a/f ratio, as it would have been a great benefit, but seeing how i have no piggy back or reflash, how would i tune it?
i can find out, but i dont think that these numbers are corrected...would there be much of a difference if they were or not? i have a friend who got his car dyno'ed also, so i can find the temps, humidity, and altitude for the correction. is there a program that will convert the numbers for me? |

I Dyno'd on Saturday and hit 250 with Jwt, 1/4 spacer, strup headers, and unichip.... My AF was 12.8 which I was advised to be the best for my set-up |
dynopack normally dynos the car with higher numbers... and also we cannot just compare any dyno numbers from different dyno machines (even if they are the same type of machine), its like comparing prices on apples of different types...
Nice torque curve though!!! :) you can definitely feel the sudden pull from 4000rpm to 5000rpm!!! cheers, richie |

You are right they dyno a little higher MAKE sure you go back to the same place...always to to dyno on the same dyno to get accurate results. |
i dynoed this weekend in at Velocity motorsports in dallas tx, and i got 234 hp and 220 tq, stock 05 6 speed enthusiast, with greddy evo 2 and exhaust, and JWT Popcharger.
|
An SAE correction will read lower than a STD correction, and if your ocnditions were decent, then your actual could be high compared to your SAE...it would be on the top right corner of your dyno printout, I just cant see what the correction is in the pic, it will say Correction: SAE or none or STD....

Nice! :) Our flash is available for the '05's. Did you get an A/F readout? My guess is you could gain somemore power since most likely your starting to get on the leaner side of things.

Nice, but I would recommend you get the UTEC and get a custom tune. You could net 10-15whp more.
|
Or Unichip...
I gained +25HP @ 5500rpms. Most of mid-range was around +15hp. Top end was only 243hp because of stock exhaust. Boooo Hisss... Stock exhaust.. Booo! |
interesting...there is a unichip tuner here in north texas at forced induction systems, but its been a while since ive heard anything from them. i wonder if they are still in business. i would like the AAM reflahs, but id want to do a dyno session rather than just send in my ecu to get tuned. besides, i promised myself no more spending money on the card until i get out of debt! haha
