Default Leatherseats.com install

I bought a set of leather seats (new covers) from the leatherseats.com group buy last month. The quality is very good and they fit fine. I installed the seats myself!!! I bought the hog ring install kit and downloaded the instructions form their web site.

It was not as bad as I thought. The first seat took about 3 hours to do because I was worried of screwing up the seat. The second took less than 2 hours.

Your profile says "near UCLA" and I thought I'd mention that not too long ago (maybe a year) there was a group buy for leather seats installed at Apache in Santa Fe (not too far from you) for < $500 (installed). You might want to look them up.

Not at all. First you have to take the seats out of the car. Then start cutting off the hog rings that hold the covers on. Than put the new covers on clamping with hog rings in the same place as the old ones.

they say they will replace them for free, but i have to pay again to have them installed or do it myself. i watched them install the first ones, and it looks as though some skill is involved, which i don't have cuz i've never done it before.

I 2nd that!!!

Cool I just saved myself $500+ on that upgrade by seeing those pics.. Thanks man I owe ya one!!

Was kinda curious how they held up and that's totally not acceptable after even one year, let alone 6 months.

I would imagine that the factory Nissan leather holds up a lot better than those E-bay and .com covers???

the black ones i had for more than a year before, from classic soft trim, had zero signs of wear when i sold them. moral of story: not all leather is same.

My seats are from Classic Soft Trim also and I have no complaints. I got hooked up on them for $550 installed.

ZBoy:

That's bad news.

Has anyone else had the same results with leatherseats.com? I would like to see that!

Also, has anyone had problems with Classic Soft seats?

TIA

I don't know how much my experience can count, I've only had my leatherseats.com covers for about a month. Extremely pleased, I got Burnt Orange and shipping was fast considering they did some custom embroidery for me. BTW, they were the ONLY company willing to do something/embroidery other than the standard "Z" you see everyone with. I'll post some pics this weekend if I have time.
