Default Exiled Lakai's Super White Z paint work done!

FRONT END pics page 3

I'm the proud owner of a SB 350Z but since i bought my vertex kit it just seems that the vertex kit really looks its best on white cars so guess what? my car l is pulling a Micheal Jackson.

Thats right black to white. the new color code will be 040 or SW35000 Super White. This is as white as you can get!

I really had a problem with the rear vertex bumper b/c it having two exits when i have a single exhaust. Well i sold the rear and have since bought the MasterGrade TS diffuser. Problem solved.

My 03 HID headlight had nasty glazing and cracks so i have since put in a order with Subrwho@CiNcity to do a trick set of 06-07 lights. Check his thread out: https://my350z.com/forum/questionable-posts/337753-cincity-designs-custom-headlight-thread-with-daily-updates-____-many-pics-___.html

Door handles are going semi gloss black as well as parts of the front bumper. This vertex kit should look like nothing that has ever been done before!

I just dropped the car off for paint today so it will take around two-three weeks for the color change to happen. I'll post more pics during the process but i'll start off with what the car looks like now.

The car will be at Znationals(hopefully l ) if all goes well with the paint. So if you see it don't be afraid to take a closer look.

Rob

Well its finally done and i'll post the pics up.

what it used to look like

nice, would it have been easier to find a white Z?

Sentimental value?

hatch and vertex sides on.

The damn TS diffuser didn't fit over my AP exhaust today. Its up for sale i'm making a FS thread after this one. It would have brought the back end together but now i have to figur something else out i'm thinking of the chargespeed rear.

wheels on not lowered yet that will come after Znationals.

What what is this? No Vertex!!! What???? Its getting carried up to Znations b/c i don't want to get three day old paint embeded with bugs! Plus the front has a little twist done to it that i wanted to save until Znationals so Come and see it!

another rear shot but at a higher angle.

here's the problem with the diffsure i'd have to cut a 4x4 inch square for the back end to clear plus another chunk up at the front of the can. Not worth it so its for sale.

pic of the diffsure it looks so nice! really pisses me off it didn't fit!

Well thats all i got so far I'll post up pics of the front end at Znationals when i get some! It looks sick!! Headlights are being shipping directly to Z1 so those will go on with the vertex so the front end will be updated heavily tomorrow night and pre meet

Nice dude. I want to paint my PPW Super white but with the body shop rates here it'd cost me $10,000 to do it.

not when you think of it like this. I'd have to put the car up for sale for whatever price. Get haggled and lowballed for months before finnally selling it for less then what i wanted. Go another few months looking for that right ppw Z. Then pay sale tax again! what would be anywhere from 600-1000 bucks.(price x 6% florida tax). so months of heart ache without driving the car i want to drive or i can just paint it to the color of my choice. it took 3 weeks and only set me back $2077.54. Thats fitting, 2k work of the fiberglass dent repair SW paint and ungraded hi performance clear(used to be called glamor clear) Man what a deal! It still needs to be wet sanded and buffed though so which will be done in a few weeks.

Not bad. One thing that bugs me is that the body shop didn't take off the fender well plastics while painting and there is overspray all over in the fender wells, etc

at least they did a good job on other things. Since you have a black car, they could of half assed a lot of that work..trust me. Like not painting under the hood, under the hatch part, seems like they did that right.

i watched them closely. the only thing that wasn't done was the engine bay. yeah it sucks but when i pull the motor to build it thats when that will go down. plus black engine bays looks cool!

I'm doing the same thing, well not actually, my car is white, i'm just repainting it white, so everything matches, plus I was just in a tornado, the tornado did not hit us (kind of wish it took my car) but i got a **** load of hail damage. this should be fun. doing all the work myself.
clearing it 3 times, wet sanding it, then clearing it again. then wet sanding and buffing that ***** hopefully it comes out good.
