|
yeaaa prolly wouldnt work thanks for the info
|
how about you use some painters tape to try it out and post pics for us? :dunno:
|
I'd def be curious to see it. I'm looking to get the bassani exhaust, but I've only seen the bumper tuck on exhausts with dual canisters. I think it looks amazing on those cars because you can see the pumpkin. With the Nismo, Bassani, or other similarly styled exhausts, I don't think it would look as good. I'm still curious to see pics though, so post 'em up!
|
^ i think you see this mod on single exhausts more than duals.

It's a necessary mod to the stock bumper with a single exhaust IMO. I think it would look cheesy to have an empty exhaust cutout. Not necessary with an HKS or similarly styled exhaust, but does look very sick.
|
^+1, but it's pure sex with some exhausts.
|
or some just find pic of what the bassani exhaust looks like from the rear (before rear bumper is put on) to give us an idea.

Rear Bumper Tuck Questions Thread
Hey guys i was wondering something how do u do the Bumper tuck 2 a 350z
|
If you get a process down... I want it too.
Gotta show off the stainless. |
You know where the screws/bolts hold the supports at the bottom of the rear bumper?
All you do is unbolt these, fold the bottom part of the bumper back, and bolt it into place. You'll have to drill holes in the bottom portion of the bumper. |
I can take a pic of my bumper tuck tomorrow.
The pic basically can tell the install, very self-explanatory. |

Very nice. I always thought about doing that if I got the LX lip kit. Still undecided on what to go with, but this is done nicely.

Bumper tuck...mastergrade diffuser?
Hey guys I did search and found no one running this setup..... I'ts just a crazy idea to see if looks good or not (I'm running Nismo exhaust)
thanks |
I wouldn't understand the purpose of tucking the bumper. Whatever you'd want to reveal by tucking the bumper would be covered up by the diffuser, plus I believe you might interfere with the spots on the bumper where the diffuser would attach with brackets.

ya i dont think its possible, unless you had some fabrication
|
It can be done cuss the TS diffuser bolts up high but it is not worth it cuss the diffuser covers that entire section.

rear bumper tuck! finally did it! PICS inside

Well, I did it and like it. Looks good, didn't take too long, and I got pics! Sorry for the blurry ones, but my arms and abs were getting tired. I've been busy the last couple of days doing projects around the house.
The Z has been sitting on jack stands for months, so I figured now is a good time to prepare for the single exhaust setup. First, I took off the heat shield. Now you see it: Attachment 445147 Now you don't: Attachment 445148 I measured the section and decided to space out the left and right screws 4" away from the edge of the cutout. Then I figured there would be 3 sections between those 2 screws, which measured 17" so I spaced the other 2 screws 5-3/8" from left to right. Attachment 445149 Attachment 445150 Attachment 445151 Tools you should have on standby are: Small needle nose pliers for the plastic snap-in screws Flathead and phillips screwdrivers Battery powered screwdriver :dunno: It came in handy And the final product! Where's the exhaust? :hmmm: HAHA just kidding what single did you get?
