what are you going to do with the rack? I think it looks great and personallly would keep it if I were you. I'm looking to get one for my IS250 so i can put some bikes on top. If you want to sell it let me know what parts (model #) you have for the q-clips and i'll see if it will work for me

haha...someone posted my Z on here lol. boofsquired Z on TAs chimin' in...

all i can say is...i'm just living strong!

roofracks/bike racks serve a purpose...its a pain in the ass disassembling the road bike to fit in the trunk...assemble. do a quick 30-50 miles. disassemble.

not like i roll with it on everyday...but i do love the look ppl give me when the rack and bike on! you should see the reactions ppl get when i throw my short board on there!

OP, you're car is sick man! LIVE STRONG!

to all the haters...if this car can be functional...why the hell can't I??? suck it...

nice i like it
i guess you have to be a biker to understand
function= a+(if it's safe, the distance between the rails looks a little short)

Haters gonna hate.

I think it looks good. Nice, OP!

cool from the front. not so much the side. nice Z though. was wondering what my car would look like with a roof rack. i guess i'll just throw my bike in my truck.

terrasmak 04-06-2011 10:03 PM

Love it, wish the Z didn't have the plastic sides on the roof to mount a rack to. I would easily throw my Thule rack on, but i don't feel like ripping those parts off my car and having my board flip down the highway.

Held in with pop clips and 2 screws http://www.courtesyparts.com/350z-pa...5_846_849.html that is what people are mounting the racks to.

might want to check how old this thread is and the op stats.

op hasn't been on the boards since march.

i'm interested too in a roof rack for the z. i dislike the boofsquire one so if anyone else has input, it's greatly appreciated.

thanks.

I'm not sure I would trust a roof rack clamped onto those plastic pillar/roof pieces. They're only attached with those plastic press in fasteners. Here's a pic that I yanked from another post.
