Resistors for SRS Light
I recently removed my stock steering wheel and installed a NRG short hub and quick release. I'd like to turn off the annoying SRS light. Does anyone know what type of resistors I need?
2 ohm? 3ohm? 1/4 watt? 1/2 watt? |
I ended up picking up a couple of 2.2ohm 1/2 watt resistors from Frys electronics. Worked like a charm. $1.98

by any chance did you take pictures of how you wired it? Im trying to install my hub and quick release

may be time to do this as well.. in fer pics.

I'm doing this shortly and also removing my seats with airbags. Actually i'm pulling out all the airbags from the car once the rollbar and harness gets installed.

Im friends with a guy who is an egg head and works @ radio shack. Hopefully we can piece the missing link/resistor things together

update:
http://i786.photobucket.com/albums/y...-31_195903.jpg The short setup came w/ my nrg short hub. The bigger setup is my replica/trial version. If it works then I will post up a DIY so you guys will know how to make your own resistor set up. |
search "SRS airbag resistor"

Are you planning on removing the airbag module as well? Or just fooling it with resistors?

Come to think of it, i will probably remove everything possible. I just really don't want the light on the dash.
It'd also be nice if I could get rid of or maybe just pull the bulb for the TPMS as well. |
