I like both v1 and v2, but think that if you do v2 with the flatter top as in v1, it would look perfect. To me, moving those gauges isn't worth the work. The whole reason having them where they are is so you don't have to look down to read them.

Moving the head-unit and AC controls up I can agree with and really like the cut-away in front of the shifter in the v1. However, it's a bit blank. Do you have any idea for a use in that space? I notice that your hazard light button and seat heater switches would be gone, maybe an attractive application for those...

moving them down and forward and inch isn't going to effect how long it takes to look at them.

ya will probably do something with the hazard light bottom for sure. My dog presses it all the time, in the original spot, so its currently unplugged, but i do plan on moving it.

because the center console has the metal braces welded to the chassis, would you be able to clear that lower space in your first rendition? if not, something like how the 2011 g37 center console portion could be an idea. the waterfall section curves in at the bottom and the shifter surround goes down into it as opposed to curving up traditionally

ya I think I can clear that bar, I looked before I got the idea. there's nothing under there where i want it empty, just need to move the ac control box(white plastic box with the banded cable) there is one lil higher but I think it will all work out like i think.

May switch gears for the week and get started on these iphone mounts.

wow, that looks really sweet, I would like to go in on it, so here is my question (and I know it's real early) but if/when you were to mass produce this, what's a ballpark price you would be looking for? (so I can start fattening up my piggy bank lol) beautiful job on the design, also, whats up with the cell phone holder, do you sell it? thats a sweet idea too, and I'm tired of trying to find a spot for mine, let me know and keep up the good work.

after seeing ztouring's sketch, it'd look pretty cool to have a contrasting color inside of the hood portion.

sorry for the lack of progress, having to relocate my work area to my basement as it is now freezing outside and takes forever to get the garage to a comfortable level.

plus I had to switch gears and make some ipod mounts (order now!!!)

i'll be back on the dash project this weekend.

^im still on for this. i say you should replicate the side pieces for guys that want to do a simple bolt on affair and then for the guys who have no sense of money management and need for cool ****, make your all out badass option, which of course i would be down for.
