Looks good, I would use the short version of the Gauge cluster hoddie.

In it for pics

sorry I can't seem to stop designing, simply trying to find the best looking/function design possible.

this is my attempt at that lambo, biggest problem with this design is that its going to cut down on passenger leg room. let me know what you think.

why would your passengers complain about how your car smells?

POST #82 rendition is freaking awesome.

^^^those of us who have graduated to either FI or test pipes know the answer to that.

OP, im still around.. i catch the thread bumps daily.. but havent looked until now.. looks pretty sweet man. Im still down if you can build it, especially if i can still use the full carbon waterfall and dash i have now.

I still think your first design (the one on page 1) is the best looking so far. Is subtle, yet substantial. Just my .02 tho. Definitely a really neat project and I'm in to see what you come up with

not touching the oem waterfall is my goal, and making it a bolt on kit also. but these both present some major problems. ie why I continue for design and carve foam till I find the best one. thks for keeping up with my threads, u always have solid comments.

see Im torn. I really like both! and with the second I would still want to tip the stereo and ac ***** towards me. So once again I'm cutting the waterfall.

need to get my hands on some extra dash pieces so I can start cutting them up and trying different looks.

I WILL produce these, how many, which design and how long till I get there who knows, still have a real job I have to go to, but I promise Im not just dicking around. keep in mind my goal was only to build myself one off parts, now trying to design it to repeated and/or mass produced is a totally different concept, with some elaborate problems, that i have yet solved. if I dont then I will prolly only make say 3-5 of them!

This is definitely a lofty project, but I think it could be fantastic looking as well as sort of functional. lol

While you're at it with the nice center console stack, you should also fabricate a center console lid replacement with an attached matching pad in the same material. I dont know about others around here, but I HATE the hard plastic center lid that creeks whenever weight is on it.

I'd also vote for the center dome that was smaller and fit over the factory guages. If you end up moving them I think it will all look a bit "off" and not OEM, which is why I think so many people here enjoyed the concept in the first place.

yeah they both look cool...one thing to think about too is the structural integrity of each type and the ease of removal. The second one looks unique and the fin looks cool. I would think that if you are turning the lines of the dash pieces to face you (like the gauges), then you may want to shift the entire dash a couple degrees.

the thing I love about the first one is that it follows the body lines of the original but still has a unique feel. Plus it moves the radio to one of my favorite locations and adds a open space to put you phone, wallet etc....the benefit of the second one is you wouldn't have to relocate anything.
