Completely disable passenger side airbags how to?

My son is in a forward facing car seat and until we get my wife another car, i may have to pick him up from the baby sitter every now and then when she has to work late. I have seen posts in the past about doing this. I have an 03. I have seen where the dealership will charge an ungodly amount to install a switch to be "legal."

Well, I do care about the safety of my son on the few days I may need to pick him up from the sitter. But honestly I could give two shits about the legality of my *fix*. Ive seen it discussed here that the airbags technically wouldnt hurt a child in a forward facing seat, but I would like to be safe and turn them off.

Is there a writeup anywhere of what all is involved? Can i install a switch or something? or just unplug all the airbag connections on that side? I would rather do a switch so it is easier to turn back on.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
