My 06+ taillights (OEM) just arrived. Before installing them on my 03 Touring A/T, I want to know if there will be any problems. I understand they're plug and play. But I read on some forums that installing LED lights (from eBay) on 03-05 models causes some acceleration issues.
My question is whether the OEM taillights could cause this problem.

 

A lot of folks report plug and play compatibility for 03s upgrading to the 06+ LED tails.

I suspect many of the people having problems have done some wiring modifications or have a bad or failing brake pedal switch.

Some have reported different plug designs, so pay attention to that. It's an easy enough swap, so if something doesn't look right, just go back to original.
