JWT TT pics finally!!

This kit is AMAZING. Thanks to Rob and Performance motorsport for all the help. Those guys are great. Very professional and they BACK UP their work. It's pushing 413 RWHP and 368 TQ on a mustang dyno. I am looking forward to a built motor from PM in the future as well

whats the purpose of that plastic piece on the right that goes over the air filter?

jeffw 01-17-2006 08:21 AM

Looks good. I guess the top pic is newest because I see a new strut brace and lettering on the engine cover and not in the other kits.

Keep the hot air away from the intake

Mahdivr4 01-17-2006 07:38 PM

I am running stock boost(6.8 psi) on 93 octane. The only mods are an injen exhaust(2.25") with megan race pipes

How about 1.75" Your car would really benefit from a freer flowing exhaust

Hello, my name is Injen and I have a very small.........uh, well.......pipe................. diameter.

Congrats. Great choice in kits.

Have Performance polish the plenum and it will look like this.

:)

That is a great kit. I don't understand why JWT TT puts out more power than any other TT kit out there at the same or less PSI?

bsp 01-18-2006 08:59 AM

Congrats. That looks very nice :)

With all cars and kits specifically, a lot of things can make a car have different dyno numbers:

1. Type of dyno.
2. Procedure when dynoing, are engine, fluid temps being controlled etc. Many dyno shops do 3 quick pulls, whatever happens thus if a fan goes on, hp drops etc. We at Sport Z magazine understand these variables can make pulls way off thus we follow a detailed dyno testing procedure. We have been using Shawn Church for our recent tests and he always makes sure your pulls are consistent and accurate.
3. Strong motor vs. weak. As many of you know, some VQ's just pull more hp stock to begin with thus one guy can spend $2000 on N/A mods and still pull less than another Z that is stock. This is why it is important to do a baseline pull prior to any mods, and then after you do mods, use the same dyno, same procedure and note the gains. This will tell you how much gain your mod did, otherwise you will never be sure.
4. Tuning on kits etc make a difference in on how a kit produces.
5. With turbo and SC kits, amount of boost changes hp/tq.
6. Type fuel (octane rating)
7. Cheating...it happens unfortunately. Use your imagination how and why.

I sure some of you can think of other variables, thus is off the top of my head.
