I think if he wants to give a price range it would be fair but don't post the exact amount. Some of us would like to know a ball-park area of what that kind of work runs.

By the way, great work. Those numbers are very nice and the powerband is perfect!

I assume this is with the AAM plenum spacer?

How much boost did it take? I wanted to compare, I did a 515rwhp with a customers APS TT car a few weeks ago and I am curious how much more boost it would take to bring him up to where your car is. He was out of fuel with the APS fuel system at the time which is why we stopped.
That's with the Crawford cast plenum.

Let's just say I could've bought another Z. Your guess on the trim level and there are still things I want/need to do to make the engine more efficient and as reliable as possible.

I will give you the quote I got, and that should tell you what you want to know.

When I thought I would have the money to do a Greddy TT setup after this summer, I contacted AAM about getting that from them, installed, tuned with utec, misc. gauges and fuel line, etc., on completely stock internals. The quote they gave me was $18k.

Now take that, add the more expensive TT kit, the $$ for the built up stuff, and the labor. That should give you the ballpark.

Man, that is really high! You can get an APS TT installed gauges and tuned for $11-12K easily. No UTEC though.

8.5:1 and the dyno at that was 489whp and I don't remember the torque. I was running Invidia test pipes for a minute but after I got the APS 3.5" downpipes, it made a big difference in spool and exhaust flow.

Thanks. It would be interesting driving over there. You guys get all the hot cars plus the homegrown stuff like that TVR Sagaris. I love that car. Oh yeah, it's loud alright. It's more of a loud bassy baritone than a loud screaming wraith wail like the other loud exhausts. I probably will be upgrading the wastegates. BamBam says he loves his open wastegates and that the engine response is that much better.

We get alot of good cars, but by god do we pay for it. Our cars and gas are roughly twice the price of you guys, so its not all good! Cant have it all.

My build comprises the following:

APS TT Kit
APS 3" Exhaust
APS 3.5 D/P's
APS plenum
Forge Actuators
Pauter rods
Arias ED pistons 9.0:1
ARP main stud kit
L19 head studs
Cosworth Gaskets
UTEC
Blitz dual Drive BOV
Koyo Radiator
Custom Oil cooler
Nismo Thermostat
RC 550 cc injectors
Ferrea Exhaust Valves
RPS 6 puck clutch
Fidenza Flywheel
AP Racing Brakes
Tokico Dspec shocs
Hotchkis Sways and springs

Few other little bits and bobs, but can remember at this point.
Shooting for about 550 bhp, all being well.

You have made me even more excited looking at your setup, Im a blue zed as well.

That's nice. I need to get a new radiator, the oil cooler and that UTEC although they do have the new Unichip coming out right? 550 shouldn't be a problem at all. I was stuck at 470 for a minute with Invidia test pipes(WTH Mike and all the AAM guys would tease me about how small they were) and Fujitsubo Legalis R exhaust system. As soon as the DP and exhaust went in, she opened right up.

The unichip does offer alot that the UTEC does, injector scaling, switchable maps etc, but I just like the idea of the factory ECU not being able to change maps at will.

First time my tuner has used a UTEC, he knows his stuff, so should be all good.

All that talk of headlift has me slightly concerned though. Seems alot of it is down to tuning.

That looks like one bad *** car!! Similar to a project im working on at the moment. How is the unichip working out. I am running that right now but have heard its not to efficient over 500whp. I was thinking about going with Fcon. if i can make the unichip work i'll stick with it though.
