Still only available for installation at selected shops :) as they are still awaiting carb

Nealoc187 Aug 4, 2006 05:50 PM

It still sucks and doesn't have CARB. I talked to them last year about this time and they said it'd be CARB approved by Jan '06. lol

k3silk Aug 4, 2006 06:34 PM

If you guys want the kit that bad just go to a shop that installs them There is a place in Fl, place in M.D, N.Y and Cali. If not go with a greddy or aps they are all around the same price and all kits you will be happy with.

Is JWT even working on getting there kit CARB approved right now or has that goal taken a back seat for awhile. Seems like there's been no word lately on any of the turbo kits still working on CARB

Speedracer,

I know a shop in MA that can get you the kit if you want it. They will install it too.

Living in CA, it's more about being CARB'ed than the kit itself.

Personally, if the JWT kit made less power, but was CARB'ed, I'd choose the JWT kit over the others. But I can't wait any longer, it's either sell my car and buy a new toy, or go with another TT kit.

Thanks, David. I keep going back and forth on this issue. If I do it it'll be in the winter when my car has down time.

I want the kit, and I don't want it installed. Hook me up. Step-by-step instructions a definite plus!!

There is no way that JWT will "Sell" anyone a TT kit without it being installed by a shop approved by Jim himself.

 No other aftermarket TT kit is CARB aproved for these cars yet, and nobody is closer than that happening than JWT. ;)

nobody is closer than me to getting my 06 bone stock Jeep Cherokee to run 10's...

we can talk all we want.. but until it actually happens.. its just talk

Cut the guy some slack. He's fighting against the bureaucracy of the State of California. You should be happy that someone is trying. Stillen wouldn't do it so they developed a SC instead.

If all you want to do is ***** and moan from the sidelines you're better off changing your hood and throwing your money to Steve Millen.

Well if they're are the closest then I guess the question is how close are they? Like most off the people asking I'm just curious if the end is near.

NoLimit Aug 10, 2006 03:07 AM

JW has No control over how long it will take! it's the fu<king state of CA that doesn't give a sh!t how long it takes,.... the paperwork is probably sitting on some fat fu<kers desk underneath a bunch of other miscellaneous paperwork....

It's like asking a soldier how long the U.S. will be in Iraq! :p

Navygolf13 Aug 10, 2006 08:01 AM

It is my understanding that the JWT kit only has to get the Cats to heat up quicker than what they do on his kit. That being said there is no way to tell how close they are exactly. And they are fighting the state of CA and that is not fun, so if you want the TT kit get it. If you are not stupid with it then you should not have any problems with the cops.

I feel sorry for those under the jurisdiction of the People's Republic of California. One of the many reasons I moved away! :)
