Finally bought a Vortech kit. What do you think I'll hit?

I bought a Vortech full kit and will be using everything that comes with it. I will be running the 3.12 pulley w/ my current N/A mods. My N/A mods are Kinetix V4 plenum, Kinetix high flow cats, and Stillen true dual exhaust. Other than those mods the Z will be completely stock. What kind of power should I be making on a safe tune?

Any of you Vortech guys have any suggestions for me?

Zridder19 Nov 2, 2007 11:36 PM

one billion hp

chriskabobbers Nov 2, 2007 11:39 PM

usually guys with the 3.12 pulleys don't see the 400's ... that's usually though. i would say anywhere between 370-390 whp? that's being optimistic too. lol. i've seen guys running as low as 320 wph with a bad tune =/. a buddy of mine got his g35 SC'd and the tuner was very bad and got him 325 wph, and overcharged him to 11k installments, way too much for so little gains if you ask me. good luck finding a great tuner, because that matters more than the kit itself.

i agree with 370-390whp on a dynojet

Yeah thats pretty much what I'm hoping to get out of it. So stay tuned and we'll see. But its too bad you guys dont think I'll be getting 1 billion hp like Zridder does.

Yes sir. Me and a couple of buddies. When the install is going on definitely feel free to stop by.

iStan Nov 5, 2007 07:39 AM

The install isn't too bad. We discovered this when we had to remove my Vortech to put the damn thermostat in :(

Congrats!! Take alot pf pics and post it up!!!

Expect close to 380. I came to 375 with stock everything on a rev-up full vortech kit.

hasemanr Nov 8, 2007 08:37 AM

I am thinking about getting a turbonetics kit or a vortech kit which kit will get me the most power and best 1/4 mile times? Just wondering if anyone knows, everything else is stock.

thanks

sentry65 Nov 8, 2007 09:28 AM
