+1 When I make hard right turn, APS TT pipe rubs against my steering column... so I installed weapon-R, and it rubs less now. |
thanx! i had newer heard of them. but it looks great :D i'd really appreciate some pics when installed
must be shure that it flush w/ the greddy twins |
stillen wont fit with the greddy setup. the passenger side induction pipe is in the way
|
Here is a pic of a weapon-R installed on a G35 APS-TT.

Thanx :D much approeciated!
Still I like to know what bolts it uses on the engine, so there will be no doubt that it fits :) |

I looked at both the weapon R and Ingalls and even bought them both but was not crazy about putting that kind of load on the plenum or front timing case after trial fitment, I would feel better with solid or polyurethane engine mounts to keep the engine from rocking.

But solid motor mounts as well as polyurethane ones get's driving go a bit shakey, don't they? [my engine bay] http://www1.garaget.org/archive/54/5...186-993881.jpg |
well that is also what kept me from installing the solid mounts I had purchased but the feedback seems to be 50/50 some say they don't like the vibrations others say they don't feel any.
I might try the polyurethane ones, my main issue was to try to keep the exhaust from moving too much and causing cracks or loosening of bolts |

Thinking that they who have vibrations maybe haven't done balancing in a rotating assambly? I'm welding flex pipes into my Greddy Evo TT's, finishing it up tomorrow and in goes v-band fasteners (don't know it that's the term in english) as well |

Confused. I thought the intake would be in the way. :dunno: |
I had the Stillen, but like you said, it got in the way of the APS.. So I took it off..
Then My steering column was rubbing on the turbo.. So I took the bolt out, ground the flange, and welded the column to the Knuckle:) You just have to be creative where it will fit.. |
anyone have links to solid or poly engine mounts?...
|
|
Anyone have reviews of these?... |
Just an update.
Got solid motor mounts from Injected Performance. I haven't got more vibrations at all, it just feels... more responsive and - solid :D |
At what power level do the stock motor mounts no longer support the added power from a boosted motor?
