Tell me what's wrong/what am I missing?
The main idea here is to run 450-475HP or so, maybe 500 at most. Here's what I had in mind:
Eagle rods Wiseco pistons (no overbore) ARP Headstuds ARP Mainstuds A decent Headgasket Snow stage 2 meth kit Anyone have any input on this? Am I missing something that would make it unsafe/unreliable at 450-475HP? Give me ideas, guys. I have the Powerlab GT35R kit already, and it will be going in soon. The only thing is that I don't have a huge budget for this. |
Dude it looks like you have been here long enough to have seen some of the builds.
Search dammit. |

Pistons/Rods/Fuel/EMS/Clutch that is all...
|
*bump* anyone have any more opinions they'd like to share before I go spending a few grand on parts? :)
|
Rear coolant bypass...
|
Just a few ideas:
Nissan engine rebuild gasket kit Pathfinder coolant mod Rev-Up Oil Pump NGK one step colder plugs Upgraded Pulley - may not be necessary Nismo low-temp thermostat Block inspected and cleaned Block redecked Block Bored and Honed using a Torque Plate Rotating assembly balanced Crank magnafluxed and the journals micro-polished ACL Race main bearings Heads inspected and cleaned Heads redecked All may not be necessary, but if your tearing everything down you may as well built it right the first time. Also, if you are considering cams in the near future, get them done while the motor is out, the labor will be much less. |
Take it to Relentless Autosport? :D

Less fuel and more timing is always the answer.

The most important part of a new FI build is being patient and not making quick decisions or trying to take short cuts. You will come up missing your goal and possibly loosing everything you put into the car and some.
Other than that, your good to go with Pistons/Rods/Fuel/EMS/Clutch/HeadGasket/ARP-bolts/Radiator/Fans/Gauges/TT-kit/Luck |
im also doing a build... is the rev up oil pump REALLY necessary? or can i just use the non-rev up with less than 30k miles?? im also running water thru my turbos not oil...
