very nice! Exactly what I'm going to be having done! 2 gauges where you put them, keep the stock multi gauge, then I still have to decide what to do with the A/F gauge and the remaining Defi gauge, one problem I might have is that I have all 3 Defi's 52mm size while the AEM one is larger... gauge pillar seems like a solution, but the 2 gauge sizes might cause a little issue there

great job

What gauges are those? They're beautiful :)

Link?

STRI SLM II Smoke Amber Gauges.

FineWine 07-15-2009 08:26 AM

52mm, correct?

midz350 07-15-2009 11:42 AM

No, they are 60mm.

Why not use a multi-gauge or two? The PLX gauges actually fit inside the housing; it looks completely stock.

If you dismantle the 60mm defi gauge and remove the silver bezel, modify the rear aluminium cup (be cautious as there is a tiny ground spring) and reshape the inside of the oem cowl you can get the gauge to sit behind the factory silver bezel for the true factory look as what I did on my Z.

km/h speed looks crazy! all those three digit numbers crammed in haha...

i only wish the lighting matched the oem or vise versa.

UpstateNismo 02-17-2010 05:42 PM

Those guages look awsome in there.

Which size PLX fits inside?

I was searching around in hope I find this. So I had to bring it bad to life. I have 2 AEM 2 1/8" gauges (Wideband and Boost) I want to fit in the stock gauge location. Will I have to mount them from the inside without the bezel or can they be mounted the same as it would be on a A-pillar gauge pod?

nothing new. This has been my setup for a long time.

how did you separate the first two gauges? They are mounted on the same circuit board.

I didn't touch the circuit board.

removing the black housing will clear enough space to mount the gauges.
