Just another SC'd ZR
MY2005 EU market ZR, VLSD, Brembos, ESP etc.
Mods so far: ATI ProCharger with 9 PSI pulley kit MTD 5/16 plenum spacer PMAS HPX-N MAF sensor DW630 injectors Walbro 255lph in tank pump De-cat with Berk test pipes JWT lightweight clutch kit Diff Whiteline poly bushes kit Custom made oil cooler with Mocal sandwich plate UpRev Osiris Tuner http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...OilCooler1.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...OilCooler2.jpg So far, street tuned by myself. Pulls strong even with very conservative ignition timing. Waiting for CJM fuel return system since injector DC is 100% and AFR still too lean for boosted engine. Once finished, will go to dyno and properly map ignition timing. DW630 at 100% duty cycle! Must be putting down some good power. Nice work. Not seen / looked at many procharger setups, piping sure is a lot less than my vortech =)

Yeah, it has some good power according to my butt dyno :D. However, flow of a 630 cc/min on a static fuel pressure with boosted engine drops with boost.

Had to purchase and install fuel return system, injectors DC is around 80% on highest load now.
Yesterday I finished fine tuning of the ignition table and cam advance on a dyno. It should come from a factory with that power :D. |
How is it at the crank unless you strapped your motor to an engine dyno. I'm guessing they're just adding 15% back in, but that's not entirely accurate. Regardless, looks like you're making lots of power. Real jealous. I might be picking up a Vortech kit some time...that much power would definitely be fun!

Yeah, it's calculated crank power and it's never 100% accurate for sure. Numbers aren't of big importance to me, but curves tendency are. Engine response is very predictable and overall car is very easy and fun to drive :).

I thought I was actually going to see a real ZR. You do know that the ZR is version of a chevy corvette and the Z is a nissan car right?

Quick question for you. I am running the Procharger kit too. Do you have any internal modifications? You are about the power that I was hoping to get, but I was also thinking about buying a second long block and building it over the next year or so, then dropping it in. Just wondering if it is worth it for me to go through all the trouble to get that done to hit my power goal (450-500 RWHP). |

Nice z, anymore pics? Id like to see some whp numbers..these crank numbers look great and all, but they aren't really worth anything.

Had cog belt issue @12 psi. Adding two custom brackets helping belt to last now @14psi. So far so good. Will report in two weeks.

Did you do anything to your PCV system? I have noticed lately that I am getting, what appears to be, some ring blowby above 5500-5800RPM. I have been searching for a way to correct it and thought I had seen somewhere to drill out the PCV line and replace it with a different Nissan line/valve. My next step, though, is to get a compression/leakdown test next time I take the car to the shop and possibly a catch-can. |
PCV valve on the passenger side is drilled and I vent both valve covers to the atmosphere. Will do catch can soon.

BTW you should just get a breather for your pcv and just drill it out. |
May want to get rid of the zip tie holding your coolant hose in place too before it wears through.
