Talk to the SC guys...but I'd tell you 750cc are a good place to start...if you only want to do upgrade injectors once I wouldn't go any smaller than 750cc. I made 477hp on 600 injectors FWIW. If I was in your shoes I'd get 1000cc as it seems like injectors go up a few hundred dollars past that.

+1 Talk to charles at CJ Motorsports. He is the owner and knows more about fuel for FI than anyone else who has been active on this website.

I think it's relatively simple - if OP wants 400-450hp that's 8 to 12 psi of boost … If it was me, I'd aim for 12-15psi and what pulley setup makes 12-15psi. I don't know vortech so hopefully a SC guy will chime in!

Do yourself a favor and get a Stage 2 with a Walbor 485, or Stage 3 Fuel System with Twin Pumps from Charles @ CJM

This will Solve many Fuel and Tuning Issues as well......

I think my biggest unknown is how much fuel is needed for the boost range each pulley will do? I saw Z1 pairs 600cc with the v3 sci package they sell. This V2 T-trim is bigger or capable of more if I understand things correctly. Say I get the 750cc deatschwerk injectors and necessary fuel system upgrades... which pulley should I aim to run on the blower?

What are your Goals for the Car?

Pump Gas or E85?

It's it a V2 T-Trim or Ti-Trim?

Ti will move 1450 CFM
T will move about 1200-or 1250 CFM

-I'm thinking 450-500hp would be plenty. I want more power but not so much it's broken ALL the time. It's been my daily driver for years... but I'm going to stop driving it everyday soon and move it to once a week duties.
-Pump Gas, only have 91 easily available here.
-It is a T-trim V2.

Time for an update...
My 'kit' I bought was missing parts and a charge pipe was modified. I was kinda mad about the whole situation so I just left in all sitting in boxes for well over a year. Few weeks ago quarantine boredom got to me and dug back in. So I dug back in to hopefully finish what I started.. my engine now has 25k trouble free miles on it. Worked through all of my issues and was finally ready to start the car up. Had the guy doing my tuning remote connect to my laptop for the first start. We got one data log and tune adjustment done. Tried to reflash the ecu and it seems my Uprev cable **** the bed. So here I am again dead in the water. Anyways, a few pics of my dirty ass street car lol... nothing too special. But I installed the CJM S1 fuel system, the vortech and worked through all the fitment issues on the front of the car with the big intercooler.

You cannot keep your oil cooler / PS cooler in-front of the IC - you are artifically heating your intake charge, costing yourself power and increasing the likelyhood of pre-ignition and detonation.

Well... damn lol. I was kinda forced to do that because the IC pipes wouldn't reach when it was mounted in front of them and the bumper cover wouldn't fit anyhow. I guess I can move the coolers to the sides, which means I probably need another bumper cover that allows air flow. fukkin rip

I figured as much - probably not your first choice - I've been in plenty of those situations so I dont fault you one bit!

can you put the coolers behind the IC but infront of the radiator?

If you like your bumper cover just relocate them to an area that provides as much passive airflow as possible. Maybe remove the reflectors?

IC in front and coolers behind, means lengthen IC pipes and new bumper cover for sure. I had it that way first and that's what is going on in this picture stock bumper cover had no chance of fitting at the bottom.

I'd actually like a better looking bumper cover, really like the look of something like the chargespeed type2... just didn't want to spend the $ at the moment. I'll relocate the coolers after I get the car all sorted and actually drive able. Maybe I'll cut some venting in as my front bumper cover is already trashed.

Before I changed the bumper cover to a stillen type 2 I had mine between the IC and rad (ac condenser really). I had to trim some of the plastic from the rad support air flow hole and the cooler was pretty much touching both the IC and condenser, but it was in there. Pic's of both setups will in my build thread if that helps.

When I was working out fitment I was trying to not modify the radiator support. When I got to finishing the intake, I was forced to cut the opening larger... oh well.

Waiting for a new Uprev cable to show up so I can finish getting this thing tuned. I have a revised tune ready to upload when it gets here... in the meantime I can hard park it in my yard lol

Move the oil cooler!!!! You are defeating the purpose of the IC.

Other than that, looking good!

Thanks. I get it... I need to move the coolers and I will. I've literally spent my 'free time' over the last few days dicking around with why my laptop wouldn't connect to the car anymore. It will get moved before I take it out for it's next datalog. Currently sitting up on jack stands in the garage again... fukkin rip
I just wanna drive my car.

bealljk 05-12-2020 08:55 AM

I think you should move the oil cooler!! lol! everyone here wants only the best for ya!

def trim up the bumper (which looks like you did) ... good luck with the cable - let us know how it turns out

Alright made one bracket for the oil cooler and got them both moved... hope they get air flow. Also glad Z1 provides Aeroquip re-useable AN fittings with the oil cooler kit, made shortening the hoses easy.

Some LTHs really helps the Vortech uhhh fart.

Also it’s a crap shoot with the Uprev. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Get an update and it stops working completely sometimes. Basically nothing new.

I personally got sick of it and just went with the Link G4+.

Your build makes me want to get back into mine and continue investigating the damn belt shredding.

I'm not sure what you mean by "LTHs" ?

I have a Revup and don't believe I can use the Link G4+ ecu... a tuner I was talking to wanted me to go that route and he checked into it.
