28 whp gain just from test pipes and UTEC? Seems a bit high...not saying it isn't legit but that is a huge gain just from those 2 mods.

It is what it is...

The baseline is always dependant upon how happy your stock ecu will be when you are on the dyno. On a average I would expect 20hp. This is just one case though.

Can we see the AF before and after tune? Im very suprized by this as well. Very impressive if this is legit.

Sorry,

We don't use the Dynapack AFR Logger for tuning it does not have fast enough sampling.

When running the UTEC the AFR will only show part of the story, we have the ability to run whatever Ignition Timing we desire and full fuel control.

Thanks,

Jermaine~

why is this so hard to believe? It's not like anyone else has done ecu mods to a rev up motor yet...and we all know that the newer motors produce more power stock to begin with...and with good reason

the car must be much more fun now

plumpzz 02-06-2006 03:24 PM

heheheh, ive been reading all of the posts so far jermaine and its looking very very attractive. Is the AFR logging that connects to the UTEC necceary for tuning or do utec tuners have their own independant one?
What exactly is needed for NA applications?

Beta99 02-06-2006 03:44 PM

As the owner of the car i can tell you that this dyno only tells part of the story...the car feels SO responsive now, i can't beleive it myself. I was present during the tuning session and was able to see the power grow run after run after run as Jermaine kept saying "she has more in her"...needless to say he was right.

Adam, i was giving a certain black Z a good run for his money:D ...but sadly couples weeks later it's no longer the case:(

Do you have a baseline? Very impressive gains.

Z1 Performance 02-06-2006 04:33 PM

lol...so I heard !!!!

the 05 is the NA motor to build for sure.....but hopefully us early guys will be able to get the gains up top with a little work :)

For NA applications you will need the The UTEC and a Tuner (pun intended)
Or atleast i think that is a pun :D

The redline is his baseline.

Thanks,

Jermaine~

Those are seiously fat torque gains across the spectrum--not just the peak...

Looks pretty attractive. Sad I'm in Florida...

Julian@MRC 02-06-2006 05:58 PM

Awesome Job Jermaine!!!Was that on Atlantis?;)

dscheers 02-06-2006 06:21 PM

Wow... now I'm jealous of those with REVUP motors... damn it!

Jason kiDD 02-23-2006 06:58 AM

Interesting.. Sent PM.. :o

Geovannie 02-23-2006 07:49 AM

That is sick stuff. I hope I can get near what you guys got for gains.

amG35 02-24-2006 12:08 PM

Will the UTEC work on an '05 non Revup motor (5AT)? It appears the G lost some low-end torque below 2700 - 2800 rpm, is this correct? Thanks.

Z1 Performance 02-24-2006 01:31 PM

the UTEC would work perfectly amG35
