19" Gunmetal TE37's on DG coupe (PICS)
Thanks to shaneotool of this board who gave me a great deal on his wheels. Not exactly an original combination but I feel it works very well. Wheels are 8.5"/9.5" wide +22 offset all around. The weight savings on these vs the stock 18's was very obvious although I didn't weigh them. The car is dropped on Tein H-Tech springs. I feel it would look better a little lower with the 19's so coilovers will be my next big purchase.

Nice car; the rims don't look much different than stock -- just my opinion
Not that my rims look any different see http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/650561http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/650561 |
any camber problems? or did they put it close to specs?
|
Damn that looks sweet:).

Congrats Nate! Looks great! How's the ride? Much stiffer? Improved performance?
|
No alignment problems although my front camber is right at the edge of factory recommendations at -1.1. My tires that I pulled off on the stock rims did have extra wear on the inside edges.
The ride is a little stiffer over rough surfaces but its not that much different from the stock 18's. Its hard to judge performance increase from wheels alone because I installed Hotchkis sways at the same time. The 245/35 and 275/35 Toyos together with the sways is a huge improvement over stock handling and grip. |
Good choice..very clean and simple. I agree, needs to be lower though.. _Giovanni

wow, the colors in that last picture look SICK! I love TE-37's, but I don't think I could have them as my only set of wheels... just a little boring imo... but they are light and give off a nice JDM look, so they are definitely a keeper!

looks familiar----and good!
|
Love it! I can't wait until I can afford wheels for my car. (I'll be saying that for a while still)
|
Your car looks HOT!! The gunmetal TE37s look better on the G than the Z. Good choice!
|
Looks Hot man!

Volks are ugly.
j/k nice contrast :D |
Thanks for all the feedback everyone. Thats what great about aftermarket wheels, they can totally change the look of the car depending on what you want. I agree its not for everyone and is somewhat subtle, but I am very happy with the way it came out.
tig488 - I think I have seen every pic you have ever posted. I wanted to see what they would look like and your car was a very good indication - sweet ride you got there. Annual - I would but I live in Tucson and don't make it up that way too often. We are trying to set up an Arizona meet for either Oct 16 or 23. I will keep you posted if your interested in attending. |
I almost got those exact same rims for my DG Coupe as well... Very nice rims IMO. I agree that the rims COMPLETELY change the look of the car...
Great pix! |
