Header O2 Bung
For anyone who has ever done the non-fouler workaround for the test pipes, have you also performed the same workaround for the bung on the collector of the header? I just want to make sure there is enough room in that area as the non-fouler sticks out about 3 inches...
I know it's necessary to do this to prevent a CEL on >= '05 (for test pipes), just not sure if it's necessary/possible for the headers as I will also be installing headers at the same time. Thanks!!! |

There is no work around necessary for the oxygen sensor in the headers. OBDII compares the pre-catalytic converter air to the post-catalytic converter air. The objective of the test pipe non-fouler is to move the oxygen sensor out of the exhaust stream so that it reads clean. Please correct me if I am wrong. |
I dont think you need to do anything on the header O2 sensors. Those are what they call "hot" and measure AFR before the cat, so it wont throw a CEL like the ones after the cat.
