PPE Headers
1 Attachment(s)
Hello all,
Trying to answer shop questions on a potential install for PPE headers. Running a Takeda Cold Air Intake and Tanabe Catback Exhaust on a 350z 2007 Enthusiast. Lowered almost 2.5in on H&R Coilovers. The question at hand is how simple fitment is with the PPE Headers and more importantly is if I should expect clearance issues (i.e. would the shop have to go as far as removing my engine block to install -direct words of the shop). I’m trying to switch shops and I’m just not tryin to get dicked around anymore. So I figured I’d do my research for this modification and plan things out better than I have been....show me the light Z family! V/R Jordan Vidamo |
LOL, no header install is easy. I've heard you may be able to install them with out removing the engine but pulling the engine will be the simplest way to install them.

Mine were installed motor in car on my garage floor. Little bit of a pain.

They can be installed without pulling the engine. Takes some time and patience, but it's doable.

Next issue at hand...dun dun dun Matching gaskets at the block
https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/my350z....417ea017e.jpeg So I got my PPE long tube headers in. Great woohoo! Only issue (if it really is one) is the flange side of the header doesn’t match to the block bolt location when I need to put the gasket. Wondering what gaskets ppl put on these bad boys cause I can’t find **** to match the headers. |
No metal gaskets are going to have that shape, HR gaskets are close but they are a ***** to use on DE engines

If I can use a new stock/ aftermarket gasket for the HR motor then I’ll do it, just wanna make sure I know what’ll come from it. |
Oh, now I understand your concern. Should not be a problem, some companies don't make a left and right flange for headers (honestly don't respect such companies) but you don't need more than 2 studs per runner, that being said, you can always add 2 extra studs on each side if you desire.
