Guy ditches on deals. We have a price set and date set for saturday 12/13. I tell him I have to beg my boss for Saturday off so I can give him a for sure guarantee that we are going to pick it up friday. Keep in mind I am going to make a 10 hour trip to pick these gears up. I give him my phone number to call me in case anything changes. I also have another friend that is going to go with me that is in touch with him about his coilovers for sale. Last correspondence is thursday afternoon where we exchange phone numbers. This guy leaves me a PM at 2 in the morning on friday and says he'd like a guaranteed response from me by noon friday because he has to turn his car into the dealer, understandable...A 10 hour window to check my PMs without calling or texting, not understandable. I don't have access to internet at work and he has my phone number. He doesn't send a text message or anything. I respond around 4 in the afternoon Friday right after I get off work and tell him my boss has given me the day off and I can swap out my diff at my house and drive it down there and be there first thing in the morning so that we can still do the swap and he can turn his car into the dealer, or he could ask the dealer if they would wait another day. I also call him leaving a voice mail and text message him asking him to call me asap. I must have called 10 times due to the deadline he gave me in the PM and then he turns his phone off. I leave him more PMs asking him what the problem is. No response.
Its now Sunday morning and I see hes been online and posting so I know this guy is alive, just ignoring me. I politley ask that he lets me know if hes decided not to sell the gears to me and I've still recieved no response. He may be active on the boards more than I am but I can tell you this guy is shady. Don't go out of your way to make a deal work out because he will just bail on you at the last second AFTER you've rearranged your entire weekend to fit HIS schedule.
