I own an Enthusiast model and have been getting a numb feeling in my right leg ever since I bought the car. Today I went to the dealer (though the service area was closed) I spoke with a manager about the problem I am having with my driver's seat.

The problem is as follow:

When sitting in your seat, on the right side next to your leg ride your hand where the side support meets the seat cushion area (at the seam) -- this is the seam that runs the length of the seat-- my seat has a bar that is protruding. It is actually on both sides of the seat.

If you feel for the bar without sitting in the car it is not as noticabe, sit on the seat and it is very noticable.

Two problems with this are as follows:

1) numbness in my leg
2) premature wear through of the seat


I went to the dealership-- as I stated-- sat in a few enthusiasts and touring models-- mine by far is worse than others yet they all have a degree of descomfort for me--

Wonder how this will turn out-- stay tuned

 

Well engineers are going to look into the problem which might mean a redesign for the seats-- whatever that means? That is all I have been told at this time

 

Keep us informed. I've got a couple of pressure points in my seat, but it isn't bothering me as bad as yours does.

I've tried to bend out the seats a bit by putting pressure on the seat frame around the tight spots.

My other complaint is the power controls on the touring cut into the side of my leg at times on long drives. They'd have been much better on the side of the seat or in the front bottom of the seat.
